Which would you choose, and why? I miss driving a car. Especially a fast car with a manual. I've owned my Raptor now for 5 yrs and I love it but I REALLY miss driving a manual and miss the power and handling of a performance car. I was thinking about trading it in toward either one of these cars and maybe lease an F150 later in the year. I like both cars equally. I like the NA, high revving GT350 and the all-around performance and options on the ZL1. It would have to come down to a test drive. I threw the Grand Sport in there as an option because I had 2 vettes prior to the Raptor and have always loved them.

The sound the Voodoo makes is intoxicating. Then again Chevy really nailed the new Camaro in the looks department. I'd be more interested in the 1LE ZL1 than a regular. GT350R prices are just idiotic. So I might lean towards the Camaro. If you go Camaro there's only one color, Krypton Green.

I'm not too crazy about either one, but I would pick the ZL1. Mostly because it is faster. Modding would be fun too.

Since you drive a vette, just get the ZL1.
I used to drive vettes before the Raptor. I dont have any at the moment.

I think the 1LE version would be too much for a street car for me. I dont need the 10/10ths version. Krypton green would be overkill. I prefer race red, ruby red, lightning blue for the GT350 and red, blue or silver for the ZL1.

Unless you're on a track the GT350 will be boring to drive. Woohoo 475whp.....

No. I have always wanted to try it out though.
If you plan to, and plan on a road course, I think a GT350 would be a little better than a ZL1 for a new driver. It's limits are decently high, so it would probably take you a while before you were even ready for something quicker. Not to mention the extra RPM would be very fun on a road course and consumables are generally cheaper on Ford's than they are on Chevy's.

If straight line is your thing, the ZL1 will be the obvious choice.

If resale is important to you, I think the GT350 might be the best option on that. Corvettes sink like a rock in value and Chevy is giving away Camaros, which generally isn't a good thing for resale.

The upside to Chevy giving them away is that you can find dealers who are offering $10k off on a brand new ZL1.

If you can find a GT350 for a decent amount less than MSRP, I think you would be in good shape if you wanted to sell it in the next 3 - 5 years.

Surrounded by libetards.
Wait for the GT500 if you need retard power. If you can deal with the looks of the ZL1 then get that. Personally, I can't stand the looks of the ZL1 so it would be the GT350 if I were buying now if not I'd be waiting for the GT500. The ZL1's performance is ridiculous but I couldn't get over the looks, if I were give one for free I'd sell it.

Good points. I thought those out as well. My Raptor has held its value better then anything I ever had. If Ford changes the GT350 too much for 2018, then it will depreciate a little more. Like I said, I'd be thrilled to own either. I am not a brand loyal kind of guy. I LOVE my American cars though. I think we offer the best bang for your buck and they are not boring, sterile cars. I need to have an emotional connection with the car. I think once I drive them, it will be easier to decide.

I respect the ZL1 for performance, but I hate the awful lower grille ( huge chunk of plastic ), the still horrible interior and awful visibility, and the cheap looking taillights. There isn't a thing I don't like about the GT350. Looks - power - performance and perma-grin-inducing RPM's. GT350 all day for me. I can't love a car that I can't stand to look at.

By today's crazy standards the GT350 is not really fast powerwise.... The ZL1 is one of the best rounded cars on the road..... But which is more fun to drive? That's the real question. My Boss is no power house (does run high 11s at 118) but is so much fun to drive. I'm thinking the GT350 would be more fun to drive. For that reason alone I would pick it. But I would drive both first if possible!

What a world we live in where someone could say that, and I think....Ok yeah I see where youre coming from.

600+ HP stock sports cars the norm. Meanwhile 10-15 years ago 600 who would have you pretty much mopping up everyone.
