Another beast unleashed from Chrysler Corp. SUV. Sedan. 2-door. Pick your poison. I give the company a lot of credit for releasing so many high-performance platforms. In many ways, they're leading the way. And, I really like the Trackhawk.

BINGO Bob.
I've been saying and posting that for a while now. Them Dodge/Chrysler/Jeep boys are killing it! Almost every line-up has a beast in it. The Jeep, the Charger, the Challenger, and the Durango SRT is pretty bad ass as well.
Killing it!!!

read some specs from autoblog. forged internals in the trans and t-case. 0-60 will be 3.2's and "low 11s" @ 120ish was the guesstimates.

im a bleed ford blue guy, but i sold my SHO for a 12 SRT Cherokee and adore it, and find myself scheming to get a Charger HC everyday.

FCA has become ford of the late 90s early 00s. building crazy performance cars right now. and pricing them right as well. rumored msrp of the TH is 80K. thats a lot of money, but for what it is, and considering that SRT 392 starts are 67K its a deal.

The fact that it's AWD, heavy, and won't improve with DRs, it will hard to beat the actual HCs. The Jeep does the quarter in 11.5 or something, and the HC is 10s with just DRs. With a tune and bolt ons, the HC is then in the low 10s and 130+ trap speeds. It will take a hell of a lot more to get that Jeep that fast. Lastly, the Jeep will be all low end for obvious reasons. Up top, the HC will pull on it really, really hard.

Either way, if I end up back in an SUV, it will surely be this, even if I have to buy one slightly used. That might be a tough task though, as the price range is getting up there and there will be fewer available than the HCs will be.

BASE: $84,500. It is AWD and it has the Demon's 2-Step to protect the trans and transfer case. 11.6 is conservative. I can see these things running low 11.0s.

Nasty!
Yeah,...my daily driver has over 700 horsepower and over 600 lbs. of torque. It has all wheel drive and can go 0-60 in 3.5 seconds and do the quarter mile faster than some cars. And, I can haul 5 people around comfortably all with a warranty!!
LMMFAO
I love it.

I remember working for a stunt driving team for a Summer after school (around 2007ish). Team was hired by BMW to make a dvd to show at dealers comparing the BMW line up vs its competitors (Lexus, Infiniti, Mercedes, etc...) in various tests: slalom, road course, "drag race," etc... We had just finished the sedan and coupe project and were about to start the SUVs. The producers were discussing what SUVs to bring out. One of them asked "What's this Jeep SRT 8?" from behind his lap top. None of them had heard of it so I jumped in and voiced my opinion that they should definitely leave that out of the test.

Needless to say, the Jeep didn't make it to the track.

I miss the SVT vs SRT battle days, like the Lightning vs the Ram

Which made me remember this:

Bad ass! It took Chrysler a while to get the AWD driveline to hold up to the hellcat motor. I'm sure there will be a lot of tuned in protection in it. Either way The Chrysler corp is on the cutting edge of the muscle car market.....
