What do I just reference that when I purchase them?

Well, I didn't think that ten people were going to come through, to be honest with you. Worst case, this thread and the one at ModFord's was good advertising, but it just didn't seem like guys were willing to commit.

If replies start coming in again, it's always a matter of giving it another month or so and seeing if a list can be drawn up. Otherwise, you probably will have to pay full price unless Casey is willing to give the discount as orders roll in one by one. With the PR, you'd think they might be willing to be flexible thanks to the exposure, but it's probably on a case by case basis for now.

Not to take away from the group buy but I would call them and place an order if you dont want to wait. I told them there were group buy threads that had not come to fruition yet but I needed the shafts now as it was holding up my build.
Also told them if it wasn't for the group buy threads, I would have bought DSS shafts since I had never heard of G-Force and SVTP guided me to them.
Probably would not be fair to the shop to tell you the deal I got but I was well worth the call and close to the group buy thread pricing.

well unfortunately I believe my diff clutch dics are shot so i'm currently trying to remove the diff to inspect everything and replace the discs..... I am having a bear of a time getting the new Gforce halfshafts out of the diff. the general pry bar and even two on opposing sides is not working. That new lock ring is a pita to pop free.

These axles were extremely difficult to get in and I assumed it was the new spring ring/C-clip making it such a challenge. When I first saw them I noticed how loose they were and wondered if they were too big. I am almost certain this was the case for me now. For the past week I have struggled to get these new half shafts out. Once again I assumed it was the same spring clips that made it hard for the axles to slide in. I have never had such a hard time removing/installing the gem shafts before..

Well today after getting creative I finally got them out. Once they were out I found the passenger side axle spring clip broken in half and the driver side bent. On top of that I managed to bend one of the metal rings that the rubber boots clamp to and pop 2 of 4 boots of its seal. Other than that the axles look amazing and I am eager to try them out this season. I have emailed Gforce to see what they have to say about it. I'm thinking a fix would be to just install a smaller tighter fitting spring clip? On top of this my diff needed a full rebuild. You should be able to just see the slight cracking in the spider gears.....

Everything else looks fine. Looks like I made the right move on removing the diff to inspect it now...... options options..... Good thing I bought a full rebuild kit and clutch pack setup already.

So after buggering my axles trying to put them in and get them back out I contacted Gforce for repair. I popped off 3 of the 4 boots and broke the C-clips.

They paid for shipping both ways and fixed the axles. This time i removed the C-clips and bent them so they would fit tighter in its groove.

The axles went in as they should this time.

I am still buttoning up a few other things but hope to have her up and running within the next couple weeks.

Definitely post up your results. I just ordered a set and will hit the track with them as well, hopefully in 2 to 3 weeks.

Well went for broke and dumped it at 6000 and managed to cut a 1.51 60' and spun the rims inside the wheels. Time for some bead locks. Looks like I won't be submitting a warranty claim on the axles just quite yet.

Nicely done! I ended up breaking the output shaft on my t56 with a 4500 2 step launch, so I would definitely say that the gforce half shafts are no longer the weak link.

Great stuff, I just have dss lvl5s2's from 5 years ago. Looking to freshen the rear this winter.

So my question is how buttoned up are your guys irs's? I don't actually have any wheel hop or issues, but I've got a ftbr rear fully outfitted with mm coil overs.

Are you guys running just axles and slicks or bushing kits as well?

I had broken axles once before then did replacements, broke those then went to a ftbr rear and these lvl5s2's and haven't had a breakage yet, even with an arguably overworked trutrac and 700wtq on 18" drag radials... My time on these shafts should be up but I haven't broken it even with lots of wotbox/2 step hard street launches.

I plan to pick up a pair of these when mine finally let go.

Stock with slicks. The expensive bushing kits are a waste if you're running good rubber.

You didn't break anything because you probably have an 18" drag radial and/or are launching on less than ideal surface. You aren't hooking up enough for it to be a problem.

I agree I'm afraid of what's going to break next. I have a 26 spline twin disk clutch so I think that's fairly stout.

I think your spinning on a 18" wheel and especially on the street. Spinning ain't winning. I have all the MM bushings in the rear, 9/16th bolt upgrade, upgraded tie rods/bump steer kit from MM, extended ARP studs and topping it all off with a beautiful Fore innovations differential cover. Things a piece of billet jewelry, too bad you can't see it on the car. As far as inside the pumpkin and gears it's all stock inside there.

I did as well. That's not what broke...the main/output shaft did. Good luck!
