I bought an 84 CUCV two weeks ago. Zero rust, 53,000 miles on it. Has a 6.2L NA diesel, 4" lift with with 37" MT's. It still has all the illuminators and service lights. Thing is bad ass. Just needs a muffler, the horn died because its full of mud, a couple of bulbs, and we're good to go.

exactly...we recently had a fatality at a local range, get this, caused by range personel. An employee at the range was playing with an 'emtpy' rifle when he decided to aim it at a guy in the parking lot and pull the trigger....well it wasn't a dry fire, stupid mother****er killed a father of triplets. The mother****er claimed he was working on the rifle and it went off when he set it down. A buddy of mine is friends with one of the investigators, they cut thru that bullshit real quick.

That is about 4 miles from where I work and I heard the same story. I also heard the kids dad is a LEO.

I’ve owned about 5 of them. M1009’s and M1008’s.

The trucks are indestructible and rated at 1 1/4 tons. Blazers are OK but a little on the soft side. They highway cruise well. The trucks, not so much. 4.56 gears, a 3 speed th400, and diesel motor that doesn’t rev high makes for about 55 mph max on the trucks.

BAF is an understatement!

Do you have any links to updates on that story? I remember hearing about it when it happened but the only thing I can find says the employee was cleaning a gun and it went off and the case was going to be referred to a grand jury. I haven't heard or seen anything since.

I haven’t seen any updates in the news, these local affiliates are terrible about following up on stories in general. Though I am surprised they haven’t since it was a fatality at a gun range.
