Had my car on the dyno today locally... Tune hp/torque are less than many stock dynos I see online, Am I imagining things??

401hp
369 torque (6th gear pull)
7500 RPM

Guys doing the dyno were surprised to hear it had a tune on it as they said most stock tunes on stock vehicles had better dyno numbers than this.

That does seem low.
What kind of tune is it? 93 octane tune? E85 tune?

2018 gt automatic trans.. Was a pretty cool day out overall, high 70's. I sent in the dyno log to them for review.

Who gives a shit what it runs on the dyno, unless you’re solely comparing dyno sheets.

How’s the car run / feel? The dyno is solely a tuning tool for relatively comparable results, time after time.

100%.

Take it down the quarter and see what it traps. MPH is true indicator of HP produced.

My bone stock 2018 auto went 12.5@115.

Added sticky tires, e85 lund tune, and cat delets and the car goes 11.6@121.

Probably makes 450 whp or so.

Hard to tell over stock tbh, not unhappy with it yet because the tune is not complete, timing was pulled out due to slight knock at WOT prior, but how are all these other cars getting the gains without the knock? It was definitely an eye opener. I don't have enough experience with tuning to really judge, still trying to learn. I read lots of posts online how the tune they got woke these engines up, posts about before and after CAI with tune, how the tune added all the gains. etc.. So when I see numbers on the dyno, the little experience I have with tuning, I don't have much to go on other than it makes the same power on the lower end of the spectrum of a stock tune as of now. We'll see what happens when it is finished as well as quarter mile times. But I will wait until done to compare that.

So far, I think its safe to say the knock I have had is from gas in the area being garbage. I spoke to a gas tanker driver few nights back and asked where is the good stuff, and he pointed a station out to me not to far away. Anyways, he goes on to say brand name doesn't matter, they just put their own additives in it, thats it. Its up to the station owner that decides if he is going to buy good 93 or garbage 93. Luckily I have a place 2 miles away with 100 octane race fuel at the pump. Going to provide 1 more log before getting a final revision, than will get it dynoed again elsewhere.
