Yep, trying to get a vendor to start their engineering research on an intercooled pd blower for mark 8s and 96-98 cobras. This would be a cost effective alternative to the non ic kenne bell and centrifugal s/cs.

If it gets made awesome it would be cool to see. As mentioned though it may not be worth it for the company. Even back a few years ago when 03 cobra were running around everywhere a few ppl including me contacted KB and Whipple. We were basically told the room for an effective IC isn’t there and it would cost to much to R and D and develop a system for that old of a car.

Sounds great in theory, but realistically a way too small market to make any money. Likely to be a huge PITA in R&D as well because, if I recall correctly, KB looked into this when building their kit and decided there wasnt enough room between the B heads to make it work right.

No, hes saying a kit to develop could cost that much; not the car itself.

List on my SPEC R 3V kit was $12,000. IAT 112 at 26 psi.

DOB found that while cool to make a low volume kit, very few who will spend the coin. There has to be enough volume to be price competitive or the market it is for will spend the money (like GT500 racers)

Yes, Only a couple in the wild. Jason cut his teeth for his business with that kit.

I wish a GT500 guy running his race intercooler would post on here.

Mystichrome, not Mystachrome
Dont you own one, Weatherman?

Are you saying a low mileage Terminator is worth more that a supercharger for a B head car? I'm confused.

Not yet, :D. I have an 08 GT and a 15 eco.

The values are what they are, it is unlikely a guy with a $8,000 car will pop 10g's on a blower. I try hard not to think of the value of my 08 GT now relative to the value of the parts that are on it now.
