I called that a few months ago. GM will answer for sure. No way they get curb stomped again like the gen 5 ZL1 did.I expect GM to announce the LT5 in the Camaro 3-4 weeks after they get done with the C8 Corvette release in mid-July. 5 HP less won't matter with the torque and 250 less curb weight.

Can about guarantee the reason it’s only 625tq is because of the DCT. Probably torque management down low and willing to bet Tremec wouldn’t warranty anything above that or at least not by much. I expect some folks to be very upset if they turn up the wick and bring in more power down low, probably kill that tranny.
I believe there is a video out there of the lead engineer on the project, and while he didn’t mention the DCT, I could have sworn he talked about dialing in the torque mgmt. of the car to aid in launching. There is probably a durability component to that comment as well.
I don't get the "the Demon is being mentioned on SVTP" comments like that somehow diminishes the GT500? Car looks like it'll be a beast and all around performer.
its so funny to me that the ONLY negative about any dodge car...is its weight. Dodge's marketing is on point, and has been for a few years now. They are producing some badass products, but all that matters is THE WEIGHT. Not how they well run, superb interior quality, beefy transmissions, etc.

Once again, is it about the actual GT500 selling, or is it about the overall impact the GT500 has to Ford and Mustang sales?
The Demon makes me want to buy a SCAT Pack and give a solid look at the Ram.
The GT500 doesn't make me want a S550 nor a F150.
Ram is now Number 2 and LX cars continue to increase sales.
Challenger is a dynasour and yet its increasing every year while Mustang sales are falling.
