That's only apparently blatantly obvious to a few of us.....Looks like someone just threw together a spreadsheet.
@LostM is this you?
Are you saying that you think the extra 1.5% of rear weight bias vs the 488 was GM screwing the pooch?
Do you automatically assume it will be worse off than a 488 due to this discrepancy?
None of the mid engined cars are even close to 50/50 that I can find, so I am, trying to follow your logic here...
That's only apparently blatantly obvious to a few of us.....
Not to mention the weight thing....nobody has said a word about the 0-60 not lining up with GM constantly stating it is sub-3.0, not 3.0.
I wouldnt get hung up on weight distribution, 50/50 being perfect isnt always reality. The best track car in the world by a country mile has a totally retarded distribution and it clearly works. (911)
that doesn't make any sense
I just would wait to put all my betting money on those being the actual numbers until someone posts another spreadsheet on corvetteforum that doesn't have as many typos......Could have sworn that was only for the Z51 package as stated on the provided material. These all seem to be base specs which would line up...spoilt milk and all that.

Nobody want to point out that the spreadsheet shows 0-100kph is faster than 0-60mph?
Here's a hint......100kph = 62.14mph
This car is so fast, it drives back in time over 60mph
What i am alluding to is that the cars the C8 are going against have already been on the market for some time. I wpould assume GM wanted to even the weight distribution to meet the all mighty 50/50 or get closer than the competition they had plenty of time to do so, yet they didnt. Why? I dont know.
Do i think a weight distribution closer to 50/50 would be better than the quoted Corvette number? Im sure it would have. Do i know if this car is worse off than the competition? No, i dont.
There is a reason the all-mighty Miata gets so much praise. Its always a target by mazda to hit that magic number if they can.
And 1.5% is enough to sway quite a few manufacturers to make choice decisions in chassis management.
Spreadsheet clearly says 0-60mph / 0-100kph, not Base / Z51As pointed out above, the two numbers are likely base vs Z51 . . . assuming the whole spreadsheet aint BS.
Doesnt matter, still the best, besides, porsche has been a front runner in racing since it began so that opinion is out the window. It only took them 60 years to tweak the suspension enough to get it that way.
Are you speaking to me?Hard to believe someone could be so dense, yet here you are proving the impossible.
I have to believe that you aren’t serious with this statement and / or rationale.
