the GT500 will likely be objectively better than anything dodge makes. probably in every way. its newer and frankly ford is better at producing quality products.
to get hung up on slicks vs street tires whether they come from the factory or not. its a set of wheels. big deal.

Viper ACR? Likely not although im really not sure. Sounds like this new 500 is a brute on track.

Also.. .my comments were more aimed at the past "Demon vs 500" drag contest threads.... there were plenty.

according to others in this thread its going to destroy all. I'm not buying it but the demon/hellcat cars aren't really going to be a problem for it from what I can tell.

RE 1/4 mile.

Hellcat redeye has also gone 133. I would imagine it will be a drivers race for an HC RE vs. new GT500.

I dont see the new 500 besting the Demon's 1/4 performance but that remains to be seen. We are only a few weeks away from the best weather for drag racing so if it were going to happen, it needs to happen soon.

Not wrong. Sounds like Demon shifts faster too...

Drinking age must be only 15 in Canada eh?
How fast does the Demon shift? I was reading and it sounds like 80 ms for a shift with the new dual clutch.

But it's my understanding that shift speeds arent really the reason for a dual clutch, they are unmatched in other areas vs just WOT shift times.

Dude give up trying to justify your bullshit ignorant blanket statement. "Can't get on board with something so Porkish" Good, go buy a Honda Civic if weight is such an issue for you. One more Car out there for someone who can appreciate what this car brings to the table. Smfh

For sure.

And i really couldn't tell you how fast the Demon shifts. Listening to the new 500 shift on those drag videos made me realize it sounds like a pretty slow shift compared to the "DCT hype" but i have no data so who knows.

yup, it's all Mopar and part of the purchase...
It added from the parts dept and has to be installed after you take delivery.
The crate is showroom stock. Don’t shoot the messenger bud.
No its not you have to install it after you get it. Legally Dodge cannot install it til it's sold.

When you pick up the car does it also come with 100 Octane gas off the showroom floor? The documentation from Dodge also says it aftermarket from the parts dept.

Also show me in the wild time slip where the Demon ran a 9.65?

I didn't come here to talk about the Demon. Lets compare apples to apples. These cars stock are very comparable.

Engineering Explained on youtube said its instant. not pretty much instant but instant. click button, box does its thing. you can't get quicker than that.

I guess it slows down the shifts for drag mode vs track mode

I also just read that it shifts slower in drag mode for more traction. Interesting...

I kinda take that as a little tongue and cheek from the fella that spent $xxx on titanium lug nuts.....
and god no why the **** would anyone

I didn't spend $3XX on titanium lug nuts because they saved weight (that was a biproduct), I spent $3XX on titanium lugnuts because the torque specs are 15% less (easier on studs) they're 12 pointed (easier to to tighten/loosen without fear of stripping) AND they look better with black wheels than the silver acorn shaped ones.
