I mean they can put 20-24# thru it on the dyno and we know it’ll make over 1000rwhp but it’s not the same.
That car has a MT82 not DCT and they don’t race it, it’s just a show/development piece.
We’ve heard rumors of Lund’s car showing some trans or clutch slip, but nothing publicly verified

I keep saying it, the rotor pack is capable of those numbers but not through a 92mm TB and blower inlet. Increasing to 100+ and a bigger snout will inherently add boost anyway.

GM cars can use up to a 103mm and Hellcats up to 105 and both snouts have plenty of material to be ported. Even the Trinity cars can use a twin 69mm TB with their inlet design. American Muscle stated months ago they would be the limiting factors on the Predator blower case.

I 100% agree on the clutch slip. I’m betting aftermarket clutches will be needed once TCM tuning is available. Increasing clamping force will prematurely wear the disks. Ford definitely built in some protection knowing dudes would be modding these things as soon as they were delivered.

I have yet to here anyone say it’s faster than PDK even after media testing reviews.
It is still unanimous that PDK is still the best from what I’ve seen.

After re-reading the chev statement.

I believe i see a loop hole.

Faster by up to 8ms at WOT shifts.


So maybe thats their hold out?

Exactly. At part throttle it is lazy and boring and slow to shift by design. Full throttle it enters Performance Shift mode (it even tells you so on the LCD display) and bangs gears with a pop on each upshift. Completely different when pushed.

The paddles have a slow response time but with the heads up display you can time them if you want to. The transmission will still shift at the same speed but with a delay from when you pull it. Completely useless IMO though.

No, the car weighs 4100 without driver and a half tank of gas. An average male driver will weigh 200 lbs. Thats 4300+ lbs. The ZR1 weighs 3350 and another 200 lbs for driver. That's 700-800 lbs. Not anywhere near 500 lbs.

What??? The GT500 weighs 4100 without a driver. The ZR1 weighs 3600 without a driver. Where in the **** are you getting the ZR1 weighs 3350?! This is NOT a c6 ZR1, c7’s are a good bit heavier.

Don’t the cheapest ZR1s cost about $50K more than the base GT500s? They are both awesome cars, but a new ZR1cis out of my range. Well, it’s not, unless I want to be single again (and broke because she’d take everything)

Maybe at msrp.

Saw a 500 sold for 130k.....so right now. Nope.
