Ford would be lost if they don’t follow. Even .9 72 and 1.9 84. They have to do something!
I agree, its getting bad for the dealerships right now. Its definitely the time to be looking. Like you said in a post earlier. Manufacturers are changing things weekly

My sales guy had to have permission from the dealership to come in and work my deal. The other Lincoln dealer that had the one and only higher price version of what I was looking for is closed down hard on sales and also not doing dealer transfers.

That process is not survivable for the dealerships or salespeople.

That doesnt sound good at all. I wonder with that process how long will they be able to continue doing that unless they got a loan.

They cant. I know some states are locked down harder than others. Its time to start easing some of the harder lock down restrictions. No need to plunge our WORLD ECONOMY into a depression.... Gotta let commerce restart.

That other really bad thing about that is if the dealerships cant operate or do much with sales then the manufacturers are gonna cut rebates and incentives because they cant sell them anyway.

I dont think that will happen. Production will be cut drastically but they have to sell what already been produced. Like I said earlier 90% of cost(manufacturer not dealer) is a huge cut of the 110-120% that they usually get after normal rebates incentives, but its better than 0% and just letting inventory sit for years like tesla does.

Tesla gonna get a rude shock on what people will spend to be green.

Depending if they are newer or not. But you are right there maybe alot that dont come back.

For the senior guys that really sell, I could see some serious shuffling to Brands they think will handle the next 2 years the best. Luxury sales gonna be a tough row to hoe.
