I second that!!!
LOL. That's hilarious....you got to keep a sense of humor thru this crap.

I’ve had that exact cardone rack for close to 3 years and over 20k miles and it did FEEL the same as the OEM rack however the codes the racks were based off do matter. My lock to lock ratio was much quicker after and the rack code was a NJ not a ZM. I can’t find info on the car the NJ came from but the car lost a .5 turns lock to lock. I also run the solid MM rack bushings as the car came with them.
There are other options but they were pretty pricey, I wanna say close to $500.
As far as the codes, I saw in another thread that someone contacted cadone about the codes not matching and they said that they use the outer housings from any mustang but rebuild the inners to spec - so the code doesn't matter according to them. But like you, others have reported that they aren't to spec, others have. Mixed results I guess. At least the 275s don't rub and it's not a noticeable difference from what I can tell so far.
How many turns from center to lock on yours?

https://www.svtperformance.com/threads/terminator-steering-rack-how-to-get-it.680429/Guys can you direct me in the right direction for a 03-04 cobra rack? I've been told using one on a fox mustang makes a world of difference.
I'd like one for my 90 coupe, just need the correct cardone part number.
Thanks.

Okay thanks. It looks like 20-2000 is the part number I need.https://www.svtperformance.com/threads/terminator-steering-rack-how-to-get-it.680429/
Thats the thread I used to inform my decision. The codes are on there but there is another thread that shows someone who contacted cadone about the codes not matching the Terminator code. They said the housings get repurposed but inners are specd correctly. From what I see, folks on here have been reporting mixed results.

Looks great! Are those tail lights tinted at all? And are those chrome bumper inserts?Still new to the Terminator Club....and enjoying it!
With the weather finally warming up, I installed a 3” Bassani Catback (replaced a Borla) and mounted some new tires...went with Nitto NT05...I know lots of R888r fans here, but I got a killer deal on the NT05’s to try them out. Sunshine and 70 tomorrow!

Yea I have red fire too and have been wanting to get tinted or smoked tail lights to contrast w the paint better. Love the black chrome inserts too. Thanks for the compliment!!! The tail lights do have a very light coat of spray tint, just to take the edge off the bright red...which clashes with the redfire body.
Also, the bumper inserts are actually the black chrome ones from American Muscle. Pictures don’t do them justice, they look great, especially at a slight angle.
Nice setup. Interesting that the Bassani has less drone. I expected it might have a bit more than the Borla. Bassani makes great catbacks.I really like the Bassani so far after a quick drive. I’m running baffles in right now, so the start/idle is quieter than the Borla. However at WOT they are about the same in terms of loudness, but the Bassani is a little cleaner and also less drone.
Stock exhaust manifolds, Bassani o/r X, ported and pulley Eaton, JLT CAI is my setup.
Overall, happy with my choice to change the exhaust up a bit!

With those engine mods, I'm going to take a guess that you're making around 505whp? Who ported the Eaton?
Thanks CobraBob - Tomorrow will be the final test with the Bassani as I removed the tailpipe baffles tonight. I’m interested to see what that does for overall noise. All that said, my couple of day evaluation is that the Borla (or any straight thru bullet muffler) really wants an H-pipe or prochamber versus the x-pipe...especially without cats. I bought the car this way and pretty quickly knew I was going to eventually change up the exhaust.
The Eaton has a Stiegemeier Port, again bought it this way. Whether you like a steggy port or not (I’m not buying or selling), but I will say it does a pretty good job in the higher rpms. Conservative tune, 494hp / 520lb-ft. One day I’ll make the move to a whipple.
Nice! I had a Steggy port myself back in the day. Actually from Apten, but Steggy did the porting. Really, pretty much all of the ported blowers bring nice numbers IMO. Steggy (the man) was a bit rough around the edges, but his products (well, most of them) were well done. Those are nice numbers for your mods, especially the torque! Thanks CobraBob - Tomorrow will be the final test with the Bassani as I removed the tailpipe baffles tonight. interested to hear the results after you removed the baffles. I have the same exhaust and haven’t removed them.

Cleaned out my intercooler today which is one step closer to getting the 04 ready for E85
