As promised, here are a few pics of my newly done garage floor. Finished yesterday. I can move loose floor stuff (tables, jack, etc.) today, and the cars can go in tomorrow. I love the floor coating and the installers did a top-tier install. NO DUST! That surprised me, but this company uses hi-tech grinders with a special vacuum, that keeps concrete dust out of the air. I talked to one of the partners this morning about it. I did the "white glove test" last night and sure enough, zero dust anywhere.

I have to move the extension ladder hangers to the rear, under the cabinets. I should have done this years ago to give me more space on my side of the garage for my wife to open the passenger door.

This is the coating. Tans and browns. It has a clear top-coat for gloss. Note that I had them do the perimeter curbs, too.

looks great Bob, glad you were finally able to get it done and after wanting to for a while. The trim/curbing is definitely worth while.

Bob, what cabinets are those and what did they run if you if don't mind me asking?

I need probably 5-6 cabinets, but I don't want to fork out $140/cabinet.

Turned out great Bob. Doing those toe kicks really makes a difference and it seals everything in.

That came out gorgeous! I was going to have my sides done with the Fleck as well But decided to go with the base color which turns out to be pretty darn ugly, unfortunately a lot of runs in that side as well.

I bought those cabinets back in 2004 from Home Depot. They are cheap laundry room cabinets but do the job well for storing all kinds of stuff. I just check Home Depot's website for some similar, and found this. They're pretty easy to install.
Hampton Bay Hampton Assembled 30x30x12 in. Wall Kitchen Cabinet in Satin White-KW3030-SW - The Home Depot

Wayfair has some good deals on inexpensive wall cabinets. Here one for $63.99. You really only need a basic, no-frills cabinet for what you're going to use it for.

Thanks, Brad. The only thing I didn't do is the part of the garage floor that extends beyond the garage door. Mainly because I'm redoing the asphalt driveway in the spring. The installer told me to call them after the driveway is re-done and they can come back to finish off that portion. At this point I'm leaning toward a solid tan strip (it's about 6-8" wide) that blends with the garage floor. I'm not liking the color splatter on the outside. We'll see.

Unfortunately the toys got snowed on while waiting for the floor to dry/cure

Looks really good! That's the polyaspartic, right? The finish/texture looks identical to mine. How did you like the smell as it cured? Yuck!

Wood prices around here are crazy, as well. Some lumber sizes/types aren't even available locally.

Well the recovery rate from the Rona for trees is much worse than for humans; it's only 98%

Posts and likes are not mine.

Yes PT wood is especially hard to find.
Even KD 2x4 prices have skyrocketed.

I'll be doing my garage floor next spring. Where you guys find companies that do coatings? And how much did you pay /sq ft?
BTW, there are some nice garages here.

I used Google to locate (polyaspartic) garage flooring contractors in my area and scheduled estimates with seven of them. I evaluated them based on their responsiveness & punctuality; ability to customize paint chip size & color; costs per sq/ft of floor, stem walls, & stairs; warranty; time in business; customer reviews; and BBB rating. When I did so (~3 years ago) prices ranged from ~$4.50/sq ft to ~$5.30/sq ft.

Thanks for the info. A while ago I googled floor coating companies and didn't come up with much in my area. That cost info is very helpful. I'd opt out of the chips, I want a plain floor. Makes it easier to find dropped bolts and tools.

I'd do it myself except for 2 reasons: 1, I've already done an epoxy coating on my old garage and don't want to do that again. 2, I have over 2200 sq ft to cover and it might just drive me over the edge.

I did a Google search on 'polyaspartic garage floor coating in CT' and found the one I ultimately used. I saw favorable reviews which made my decision a bit easier.

Thought I'd share. Finally got my dream garage about done.

Had a 29x29 garage done with 12'10" ceilings and 10'x10' doors. Did a four post lift for winter storage and a two post lift for working on the cars year round.

6" 4000PSI concrete with 24" deep footers at the lift pole locations for both the 2-post and the 4-post. Professionally done floor. Had electrical outlets run every few feet for a total of 24 inside the garage alone. Lots of LED lighting.
