alllll the money in the world cant make that racecar last as many miles as an ICE... LAP for lap...................... Nor can it recharge in any reasonable time frame... swapping packs is gonna be a fact of life. We need to see how much of a pain in the ass this tech. is... right out in the open.

not to the computer geeks and tesla owners..... They are intent on FORCING their values and beliefs on everyone. Its not enough for them to have the availabilty of this technology...... They gotta BAN the ICE by a certain year in certain places. They want to take over THIS industry now and take away and replace gas powered cars. They dont want to let the people decided via the free market. Ask any tesla owner... they will TELL YOU how much superior it is to ANY ICE... how fast it is. We are SUPPOSED to want these cars. They cant understand WHY we wont support it..... hence the tentative bans and insane gas prices. The plan isnt working out how it was supposed to tho. We love our country and values and beliefs..... THEY HATE this country and seek to institute a communist style approach to governance. Its happening RIGHT out in the open now.
Yep…with EVs, they can control when you drive, how you drive, where you drive….when you can charge it…money and control.
The MAGIC of our great american experiment is that the BEST ideas win out. The best solutions win out over time... via the free market and free press. I dont have an issue with EVs soo much as i have a problem with the heavy handed approach these politicians and industry leaders seek to use. If Evs are the end all be all long term convenient solution... we have no choice but to accept that and the FREE market will be robust and well off with this new technology....... But the free market should decide that. We shouldnt be expected to overlook the GLARING issues with living with an EV for daily use.... long trips.. etc....... People see this and by and large are still unconvinced. This has been a major problem with this emerging technology. Major advancements are needed before they are a viable alternative.... They have to be just as simple to live with as an ICE vehicle before they gain necessary traction. People have to WANT and prefer an EV over a ICE vehicle for this transition to occur. That moment may NEVER happen. You cannot force a populace into a bad idea. the free market always decides.

It’s the only way to save the sport….it sucks and it needs govt money to survive. It also thinks it will garner a more youthful audience. It will probably work because our country is full stupid morons.
All it will take is one death, and a fire that will make the Hindenburg look like a candle, to nix this series. Wanna bet they will cut the video feed when it happens?

The way to do this is make it an endurance race, whomever is the last one running wins. You’d have to run wide open of course and when you run out of juice you and your car stay on the track and the cars left have to maneuver around you.

The first race or two will get good viewership/attendance simply because it is new. After that the viewership/attendance will drop off significantly and they will have trouble selling commercial time.
As far as pit stops.
They will do like Formula E, the driver will change cars halfway through the race as you can not change a battery in under an hour and you can not charge a battery in a reasonable time.
All it will take is one crash to go horribly wrong to end this series. The public can not be allowed to see what could happen with an EV crash/explosion/fire. That would push the EV timeline for mass compliance back 20+ years.
