Maybe they’re talking about salting the roads in the winter time?

our mechanic's wife used to drive around in a expedition with dark ass tint and some big chrome wheels, she was getting stopped all the time for BS reasons. The cop straight up told her to put a salt life or bass pro sticker or something on the back window. She did, they ****ed with her significantly less

What is this "salt life" crap you're talking about? I'm up here in the upper left corner, not knowing what this is all about.
It gained momentum the same time OBX stickers showed up. It was the invasion of the barrier islands off the coast of North Carolina. Once desolate fast turning populated. The area was really only accessible by 4x4. Big sand doons salt water on both sides of a long thin slice of land. Some of the islands only accessible by ferry. Expensive properties and extremely laid back atmosphere. Sid could chime in, but it is a completely different way of life. Great vacation destinations if you don't like crowds.

It's like seeing RIVER LIFE or RIVER FAMILY on some busted Tahoe or Silverado here in southern California. In my case, it means they've been to Lake Havasu once in their lives and may or may not have stepped foot on a boat (usually rented) while there.

SALT LIFE must mean they, like nearly every other human on the planet, like the beach.

Also, both stickers mean you should avoid these tools at all costs.

Ok, I get it. People feel the need to tell everyone how cool they are by inferring that they participate in a certain activity.

We've got people up here that have a "Roots" sticker, in the shape of the state, on their back window. Gotta let everybody know you were born here. Saw the same thing in Colorado back in the early 80's with the "Native" stickers.

Claiming anyone is native to Colorado is a myth. Everyone there is from California.
