I am cutting the first of them this weekend... I am waiting on my punch set from Harbor Freight tools.

My goal is to have my vert back on the road by April 1.

I also need to order new Hawk pads, clean my k&n and put my freshly painted plug covers back on.

My 03 had a diff. leak and I didn't know it. The Ford dealer noticed it and fixed it while the car was in for something else.

holy shit, its one thing trying to get a warranty claim done even if the damn car is not modded, you are one lucky guy if the dealer went ahead and fixed it with you not having a clue its leaking!

My rear end leaked on 3 different occations. One time they tried to insinuate that my Bassani exh being routed closer and creating more heat might have melted the sealant. ok. After they fixed it this last time, as I was driving to LAX for work, thats about 50 miles for me, the rear end began to whine. On the way back home the the whine was louder than the radio. Its at the shop right now and there telling me one of the bearings failed. We ll see when I pick it up. :nonono:

Does anyone know of any gasket that is available for the IRS cover? Many 03/04's just came from the factory with very thin beads of sealant that deteriorate pretty easily. I'm not real interested in having the dealer just re-seal it, but would rather have a more permanent fix with a high quality gasket in conjunction with an IRS brace, which I already have on.

Well I got my car back yesterday. It was worn pinion bearings and cups. I was told they were torn up pretty bad. I dont hammer my car that much so they must have installed it wrong the last time they had it out.

Just noticed my diff is leaking today. Had it on a lift to get brakes checked (pads are worn out) and noticed the leak. Going to put my stock shifter back on, pulley cover back on, clean VHT and rubber from fender wells and take it in to Ford.

Don't know if this helps,it is a Band-aid fix;But a really really good one I might add.theoratically it is not possible, but it's been working for 8 monthes now,and not even a seep has been seen!!!

Here's the story,I was installing the billet flow/MJ's brace, when I was jacking it around, manuvering the pumpkin,I "accidently" put the load on the diff cover....Ever since then my rear end cover start to leak after the brace install.due to the extreamly PITA location of the Diff cover, with the added BF/MJ's brace,I was too lazy to take everything back apart, jack it around ,and manuver it just to fix it.

I put a bead of red RTV around the lower portion of the cover out side of the actual sealing/matting surface..still leaks,Black RTV,still leaks. Finally,I did the samething but this time used Honda "Ultra Flange"(not Honda bond),I stuffed it thick and around the whole lower portion of the diff cover where the fluid was leaking out, packed it really good.and not one drop or even a "sign" of seep of the diff fluid ever again!!!and this is after numorous track launchs!!

Theoratically, any liquid gasket/RTV can only seal at the actual matting surface;but the Honda Ultra Flange actually sealed the leak from out side of the matting surface, stopping leak from coming out of the matting surface where thin RTV would not hold.this really works!and works really well,I can't believe it my self.

I work at Honda, and knew Ultra flange is the shit;but I never knew it's that good!

After every race (drag or autocross) my bolts loosen and the case starts to leak. Guess I got lucky cause I just tighten the bolts and all is good till the next race.

i got the same F*uckin problem and is pissing me off, ive been under the car 4 times already, 3 times with the black ATV, then once with the red, the red seems to have worked the best but it is still leaking from some where. i checked the bolts and there was nothing that was wet on them but when i checked the two main bolts that connect it to the frame ( the back part, if you guys saw underneith, you will understand) the one on the top was fine but the lower one was all wet with gear oil, now how can the rear leak right there? anyone have any idea? i checked the breather on top and doesnt seem like anything is coming from that and it would be alot more of a mess.. any ideas?

Bet your cover has a crack in it. Happens from flex & wheel hop.

Local SVT dealership won't cover it. They really didn't say anything about the mods in the sig, but said, "The rear has been tampered with." I refused to pay the 40 dollar charge at first (because it wasn't covered under warranty), and walked out on service pissed. I came back the next day and they explained to me that the rear silicone is supposed to be "grey gasket material." They said this material was black and there was no previous warranty work done on the rear, and basically screwed. I called the dealership where I bought the car, and they said no problem bring it down. Only bad thing is I gotta fill it up before I leave and its pretty dry ( 1 1/2 hour drive to hackensack, nj). This is what happens when you buy a modded car.

WOW.. Im not the only one. Mine leaks between both the bottom bolts.
Im getting it resealed tomorrow. Since its not under warranty anymore Im going to have to pay for this sht.
I'm not taking my car to the dealer. The dealer just phucks things up more than they are. I have a personal mechanic that will be doing it.

Will be adding my bf brace while its getting resealed. Hope this doesn't cost me a whole lot.
