He is an ass for taking it, or she is a dumb bitch for offering it??? If you aren't prepared to give it away don't make the offer!

Wow, I knew it was just a matter of time...

Taken from "MySA.Com":

How far would you go to get your dog back? One San Antonio woman gave away one of her most prized possessions, and Tuesday night, she got the surprise of her life.

Latasha Armendariz was surprised with a new Ford Mustang convertible when she returned home from work.

Armendariz had given her 1996 convertible to the man who found Porkchop, her missing 2-year-old English Bulldog, earlier this month.

"I just wanted Porkchop back, you know. He's my baby. So, to have this and him, I'm just, like, on top of the world," she said.

The new car came from the Armor All company, who saw the story on the news, and teamed up with Red McCombs Ford West to make it all happen. Armendariz also got some new toys for Porkchop.

The lady has been a member of many forums and several down here in South Texas. She is a rather nice lady and the Mustang was rather nice. I myself..hate dogs. Her dog "Porkchop" was to her and her kids one of the family. When you see your kids crying and you yourself you might see how a monetary object means less than a living thing. I wouldnt have done it in a million years..but I can sympathise with someone who would. Its rather admirable to say the least being as materialistic as I am. Its great that something like this happened to the family.-Shane

There certainly are alot of e-thugs coming out today. There is a happy ending to this story. Armor-All found out about what had happened, and how willingly she was to give up her prized car for the family dog and family happiness. To honor her sacrifice to her family, they bought and shipped her a 2004 black convertable, it was delivered this past weekend. She's a member on my local site in Austin, a very nice person, so please quit with the insults...

What kind of Deuch bag take the only car from a mother with little kids. The story should of been "Guy finds dog and returns him home to his owner and refuses to take the car". F him.

Thats what i was going to say. The only way to describe that guy is Douche Bag. I guess i would take it around the block once so i could do the worlds largest burn out but after that i would park it in her front yard

It's worth plenty when it's your only car.

I mean't that I would not take it anyway because it doesnt look like it's worth much to ME. Chill out. I don't know why everyone here gives such a big damn about this story. We all don't know everything about it, I remember it being on the news and such but so what. She had to give away her pos that she was having problems with, oh the F@%K well! And I think this is all a wash now as she has received a newer car for free. I agree with Tim and think it's all a big scam. There's alot of people out there with worse problems who don't end up getting a free new car.

Funny how people think this is a scam! lol what a bunch of retards.
That dog is actually worth some $$. She would had to sell it just to afford another one anyway.
Yeah the guy that took the mustang is a looser.

I know her, and I know that car. It is a piece of junk with many, many issues. It had a shoddy 4V swap that barely ran. She took and gave away dogs often on a site I'm on here in Texas, so I doubt it even meant that much to her. It was NOT her only car, so don't buy that either. Tim Pryor is absolutely right in everything he's posted, so don't get on his case. She did indeed get herself banned from that site, for threatening to beat a person who commented that her car for sale wasn't in the shape she posted; in fact, she herself had posted that elsewhere on that site! She posted this on another Texas site about the car:
I did mention on the news that it did have an offroad h pipe so he might get stopped by a cop. Not to mention the a/c gave out, it had no radio and every time I turned the corner the lights would dim and sense it was hit the door would close with the window sticking over the top. It was time for a new car anyways so to me I tricked him into believing he got something real sweet when all he did was take my headache. I'm clever and used it to my advantage I was gonna finance a new Stang in Jan and part out Pink so I really dont feel I took a loss. oh yeah the front left tire was coming apart and my break line was singed by the tail pipe and leaking break fluid and a paint job guess he's gonna have to put some money into it if he wants it to be worth anything or part it out

These are her own words, so please, don't make her into some sad martyr and post this on every site you find.
