Every single time I put Shell gas in my SVTF the check engine light comes on, so I stopped going to Shell. Everything has been fine for years, until my wife was driving it and filled it with Shell gas ... the check engine light came on again. This happen to anyone else?

Howdy. I've been putting 5W-30 in my car every 3,000 miles since I've owned it. But now that she's gettin' up there (~85K) should I switch to something a little bit thicker? My mechanic thickened up the oil in my Explorer when it hit 90K. Anyone else do that?

Just curious, how much noise comes from your SVTF when it is just idling? I fixed my rattles and my tranny doesn't sound like a can o' marbles, but when it's idling there is a lot of ... gear noise? Does anyone else have a loud tranny (if that's even it)? Or is this kind of normal? Thanks.
