I personally think mode 3 will be more like 1123 if there is any truth to the teaser video that showed that the 1/8 mile trap speed at 128 mph.

How does it pass emissions on race gas? Or does sliding in a spare pcm not count, Possibly why it's sold separately?

The loophole for running race gas/hotter tune was to send a separate pcm as mentioned above. As long as it passes emissions off the assembly line is all the matters. And the sticker on the other pcm that reads "for closed course racing use only" covers their ass.

So if an aftermarket tuner exactly replicates a Demon's RG pcm file, for a Demon without crate, would that constitute a potential warranty void?

I'm sure it would void it. It's a incentive to buy it from Dodge.

That would be a tough sell for FCA legally I would think. Wondering if this car will open up loopholes for the aftermarket that weren't previously available.

I wouldnt count on it. Big name manufacturers are very good about covering their ass in this type of scenario, as they have to be, due to posts/thought processes like yours above.

However Ford neutered the Boss Track key to be California compliant and it was stated "for track use only" when used.

So, on Hellcat.Org... someone posted a link to FCA showing only being built for 2018 and only 3,000 of them will be in the US. I bet the price will be $150k+ with ADM's.

Yeah, if it's a one year run and only 3,000 of them being built,.........it's going to be one pricey car. LOL
