In the process of swapping my Powder coated “powered by svt” coil covers to a new set of “powered by ford”. Jury is still out on which I like better. I’ll be selling the one I don’t like lol.

Where did you get the Ford SVT emblem for the VMP?

Yea, not sure if I like the Powered by Fords because they are hard to get or because they break up all of the black. I like the SVTs too (first world problems)

Cranked the coilovers up a tad and tightened the mid pipe to catback bolts. Also cleaned up the tail pipes since it was in the air.

^need some tint on those windows!

I finally solved my idle issue after god knows how long. Apparently the EGR bracket bolt go into the case of the 2.3 whipple and I was running around with a massive vac leak because of this. Why I never put the bolts back in there I have no clue and of course I never went there thinking it would be the source of a vac leak.
Kevin (04sleeper) is fixing my tune as we speak. So happy to hear a 800rpm idle again. I'll update again later this week when my new speedhut gauges come in. I also need to research the big wire upgrade because I officially killed my 2nd 130amp alternator this year. Thank god for lifetime warranties!

Omg, you just saved me a headache on the egr bracket vacuum leak.

Dude you have no idea.......I've been dealing with this for 18 months. I feel like an idiot for it. But I had the blower on and off at least 4 times. Replaced the IAC, TPS, boost bypass, every gasket on the upper half, the FPS, all the vac lines, all the boost lines. I finally took it somewhere and got a smoke test done. 15 mins later it was fixed. Stupid mistake but I've been trying to tell everyone I know so nobody ever deals with something so small and stupid again lol

Holy shit. And here I was bummed that I have to make a 9th "last trip" to the hardware store for more bolts...I hope you are focusing on the positive in your bittersweet outcome.

Haha its been a frustrating experience for sure. But I know I can take the entire blower setup off in like 15 mins now and hearing it idle at 800rpm is such a sweet sound! Under appreciated.

Had the back wheels off yesterday to remove the brake pads, resurfaced the business side of the pads with 220 sandpaper on a flat surface, cleaned the back of the pads with brake cleaner and applied Permatex Disc Brake Quiet on backs. I'll report results later in my "squealing brakes thread".

Cleaned up the dirty inside of the rims which had never been cleaned by previous owner/s. Comet, water and a rag do a great job of that. Comet cleans the painted inside of the rim, and I also removed the paint from the section of the inside rim closest to the spokes by just using a little more Comet. Also cleans the chromed "hub" right behind the wheel centers. Gonna finish cleaning and polishing today, put a little wax on 'em, and snap it back up.

Man I can't win, I'm way too hard on parts. Time for a drag specific car and keep this my street car.
