That 10k price gap is correct. An unusual drop in gt350 prices due to sellers worried about oil consumption is fake news

I thought 13/14's trapped mid 11's around 125+. And from a roll 13/14's are 200mph cars.
Huh? The GT500 motor (all of them) are old tech and fall short (very) of the newer Coyote-gen motors.
Would be an absolute sin to put the trinity in an S550.
OP..... End of the day it all depends on what you want out of the car. If its purely straight line speed, save yourself some money and buy a 2017 6r80 GT for ~27k brand new. Add your choice of $8k forced induction and go run 9s all day and make all GT350s AND most GT500's look stupid at the strip.
As far as the auto s550 with a blower, vanilla tastes good but sometimes people want a more exotic flavor.
Although the Shelby motors could be considered old tech to some, I would most definitely not agree that it would be sin to put one in an s550 car.
750-800 rwhp with boltons all day, is nothing to sneeze at.
I think a GT350 with an updated Trinity motor would have been the tits.

Thats fine. Most of those with exotic tastes have more $$ than sense OR they are habitual show-offs.
To each his own! Doesnt bother me a bit.
I found tons of joy in pounding much exotic ass in my 92 all wheel drive eclipse that didnt have one straight body panel yet trapped 127-130 on a bad day----back in the late 90s/early 00's.
The good ol days!
And get off the trinity sack.... Coyote tech is far superior whether you want to admit it or not.

So im coming for the 500.
700rwhp with bolt ons and a tune, nothing like driving a reliable 700hp daily...

If you haven't driven a GT500 yet drive one before committing but I'll tell you what I usually post, drive a car stockI got to drive the GT350 though, and i figured why alot of people might say the 500 feels soft.Suspension wise, the gt350 just feels more responsive, its stuck to the ground alot more. You feel everything.
It was very impressive,i enjoyed every second of it.But the power is just not there.Im comin from a bolt on/tune GT,so the power difference is not so much.I could swap over my suspension and exhaust over from my GT to the 500 as well, that way the 500 feels more planted.
But again,If im doing bolt ons and a tune,i rather be driving a car with 200 more horses.

Some people wanna be that special snowflake. The peacock everyone looks at and gets all that attention.
Some people just wanna go fast.

for a minute and then decide mods, especially for a DD.
My '14 was stock with a tune, 4.10s and DRs the first summer. It was very balanced and a lot of fun.
My opinion is get a Recaro/glass roof car, IMO the rest of options are just nice but those two are must haves.

Despite what some might say about outdated tech, you can easily trap 126 at 11.0-11.2 range, without needing AWD (for people who can't launch RWD Cars). All you need is a rear tire swap(plenty of 305 options available) and maybe the intake and exhaust helped me a little bit too. Who cares what magazine editors say, it doesn't mean they can drive worth a shit, because they can write an article.
My best was 11.228 @ 125.8 with 1.644 60' in a Vert', you should easily be able to beat that with a coupe.
