Tried and bought it. I just wanted to share the experiences. This is literally incredible. I've been gaming for over 30 years now and there has never been a leap in gaming like this for me. The headset does something unexpected. It puts you INSIDE the game. It's not a screen pushed against your face at all. It's not just being able to turn around in all directions, you're ****ing THERE. That was the biggest surprise for me.

I bought Dirt Rally(holy shit racing is 10x better), Skyrim, Megaton rainfall, and Resident Evil 7 and all of them are ****ing amazing. My ps4 pro has been sitting around collecting dust for weeks until now and I haven't been able to put it down. This is seriously mind-blowing tech and it works well with a good setup.

Negatives
-Nausea is a real thing for some people, but out of everyone that's tested mine(7) none of them have gotten sick. I played Skyrim for 4 hours yesterday, no problems.
-The Move controllers take some getting used to on Skyrim, but once you get them down they're incredible. So satisfying
-GT Sport is sort of tacked on right now. Hopefully, they're adding more to it.
-Some of the visuals are kinda blurry looking, but even playing games on my 4k TV, it'd rather be inside the experience.

Oh and btw, watching videos of VR does it zero justice, it cannot be understood without trying it.

I have been meaning to get one once the price went down. I have seen them for around $299 I think which I think is a good deal. The first VR I sampled was just the Samsung VR and that is pretty low rate in comparison but it was a cool experience. You still feel immersed in it.

My buddy invested in a nice VR setup for his PC using the oculus rift I believe, I went over to try it and stayed 4 hours longer than planned I was having so much fun. We played some shooting games which were pretty cool you had to actually make the motions of reloading a gun with your hands in order for a reload to happen, etc.

We played some racing games and he has a nice wheel setup and that was just epic. The corkscrew at Laguna seca gave me the same feeling in my gut you get when going over a hill at speed in real life. I started doing donuts and had to rip the headset off I thought I was gonna puke lol . It was awesome

Does it only work on the Playstation Pro? I recently bought a ps4 to play online with my friends, but it would be interesting to try VR. Do you have a link to the one you bought?

No, it works on regular ps4, I just think its a bit blurrier image for alot of games.

I built myself a new PC last week and bought the Oculus Rift at BB when it was on sale. I played it last night for the first time and spent like 3-4 hours in VR. The experience is amazing! Robo Recall is such a fun arcade style shooting game. I highly recommend the Rift to anyone with a PC thats capable of running it.

I have VR with my Note 8, and I can only imagine what it must be like on the PS4. I may have to add it to my christmas list..

I think that is what my brother in law showed me on. He had me do some creepy demonic clown game where you are sitting in a bed and this clown toy is running around the room, but you cant do anything but sit and watch. It feels like you are actually there. Then there is a Stranger Things story you can be in. You dont play but it puts you in the show which is pretty creepy.

Finding well done VR video is difficult but when you do pr0n on VR is worth the shame and self loathing you will feel after.

I thought about getting Playstation VR recently, but I definitely want to try it before I buy it. My biggest fear is that I will spend the money on it and get nausea or headaches from it. I haven't tried any of the newer VR stuff though. Sometimes I have issues with 3D movies, so I'm not sure if the newer VR stuff gives you the same feeling as those.

Here's what some people are doing now if you have a ps4. They have a testing period for two weeks, they charge your card and if don't like it you send it back for a refund. It's pretty ****ing smart because the technology is so impressive, the problem is there aren't many places to try it.
