DEARBORN, Mich., Aug. 17, 2018 – Ford is turning its iconic Dark Highland Green Mustang Bullitt Kona Blue to help benefit Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, and one lucky raffle participant will drive home in this one-of-a-kind Mustang.

Ford is revealing the Kona Blue Mustang Bullitt today at the 2018 Woodward Dream Cruise, where Ford and JDRF start selling up to 60,000 raffle tickets at $10 each. The raffle ends Nov. 9. A winner will be selected Nov. 13.

The JDRF Mustang Bullitt comes with unique gray wheels, and its Kona Blue exterior is carried inside with blue cabin stitching. It features the 2019 Mustang Bullitt’s high-performance add-ons – including the performance-tuned 5.0-liter V8 churning out 480 horsepower for a top-end speed of 163 mph. And like the original one-of-a-kind 1968 Mustang fastback from the classic thriller “Bullitt,” which also is making an appearance at the Woodward Dream Cruise, the newest model features minimal badging, a blacked-out grille and special white cue ball shifter.

The JDRF Kona Blue Mustang Bullitt will be on display starting at 2 p.m. today at the Ford Media Club House at Kruse and Muer, 28028 Woodward Ave., in Royal Oak. It also will be on display Saturday at Mustang Alley, at the intersection of 9 Mile and Woodward Avenue in Ferndale. JDRF raffle tickets are available for purchase at both locations.

Raffle tickets also are available online at www.onecause.com/jdrfbullitt until Nov. 8; online orders end Nov. 9.

Stop feeding kids all this prepackaged, carb'd and sugared up bullshit. CURED.

How else are they going to mass produce food that will create mass profits and maximize taxable income from bonuses, stock options, board of directors, and exec compensation?

I know why Ford didn't just go with the factory DHG or Shadow Black, but to call it a Bullitt and use a completely different color just doesn't make sense to me. I think a DHG wrap would have given it a Bullitt hue while making it different from the factory gloss DHG. I would envision something like this Roush Mustang but a darker green to closely match DHG. I think a DHG wrap would look killer.

This isn't the first Blue Bullitt guys. This isnt a new concept. They made them in True Blue in '01.

I'll be purchasing a few Tix. I like it!

While I agree with you on the diet thing it has nothing to do with Juvenile Diabetes at all.

Type 1 (Juvenile Diabetes) and Type 2 affect people similarly but only Type 2 can be cured with diet and exercise. Type 1 is an autoimmune disorder.

Thank you for pointing that out. I didn’t know the difference.
I wouldn’t be surprised though to find out that it’s an autoimmune disease that is caused by the parents eating shit foods that manifests in our offspring. Just a thought.

Bingo as I'm a type 1 when my white blood cells decided they didn't like my pancreas anymore and killed it off on the last week in July 1998. So when I was diagnosed with it my blood sugar was 1250. Yes that isn't a misprint it was that high death can happen when you go past 450.

not at my post...
^^^^have either of you considered a pancreas transplant? My boss had one in 2009/2010 timeframe along with a kidney. The pancreas is still fine and he’s been off insulin for years now. However his kidney has started to fail again.

I'm on the pump hard to believe something about the size of a credit card and about 3/4th of an inch thick cost $6000. But before I got it in Aug. 2010 I was admitted to the hospital about 65 times between 1998-2010 now I only been there about 10 times since 2010 so it cut down a lot of problems for me. But now I got Glaucoma in the eyes and so I'm going to start losing my vision gradually I might have it for 20 years or just 5 all depends how fast the degradation is, but I'll drive until I can't really see good in dusk, dawn early night then just turn in the keys and cars to the bank and be commited to some assisted living community until the final curtain falls for me as I'm really am just tired of fighting all this. My doctor knows and so he does not push the issue with me about it.

Saw this car on Saturday - great cause, but green or bust IMO.

Wifey has been dead set on a Challenger for a while, but after seeing the green Bullitts in person at Woodward she has decided that’s what she wants someday.
