They have scheduled 2020 Mustangs, but not Shelby's. Scheduling for the 2020 GT350/GT500 begins on 9/9/2019.
And that is what is so weird I thought the same thing, but no it is confirmed a vin has been assigned to an order for the GT500 just call FP with your order# and dealer code.

I talked to Ford Performance and they said that they had seen a couple of GT500's that had been scheduled, but there were no VIN's assigned.
I am hesitant to believe this until someone actually has had their order confirmed as scheduled, I know mine is not.

Hmm over on mustang6 forum a guy did confirm he got a Vin# and his scheduled the week of 9/24. So I as well called about this and they did say yes Ford is now pulling orders and scheduling them with vins so not sure who you talked to?
His name was Austin.
Same guy I talked to 3 times today, could not find my order with the information provided so working on getting that corrected. But he did confirm with me that indeed they started the process. I talked to him around 12:30pm est
I talked to Austin at 11:55 AM PST or 2:55 EST. He said that no VIN's had been assigned to any GT500 orders.

So weird you have no idea! And you can not get a scheduled build week without it and this guy did get a vin# and another member confirmed it with him.

"I spoke with "Kyle" whom said scheduling hasn't started yet. He then said "what's your VIN?, I will run it anyway". I read him the number and he said, YEP, I'll be. You are scheduled. Call me back closer to that week for an updated status.

I just got off the phone 1:08 PST with Austin and he confirmed for the second time that no VIN's have nave been assigned.

I noticed that one of the members there, posted a picture of his Vehicle Visibilty Report showing that his car was Unscheduled - Clean, this usually means that the car has a confirmed allocation. When my 13 was listed as Unscheduled - Clean (8/17/2012) it was not scheduled until (11/12/2012) it went into production on 12/14/2012 and was released for shipment on 1/14/2013.

This is an explanation of the VVR.
1. UNSCHEDULED MATERIAL HOLD
· The vehicle order has been uploaded into the system by the dealer.
2. UNSCHEDULED CLEAN
· The manufacturing plant has uploaded the order information from the dealer into their database.
· Dealership will provide owner with VIN once vehicle is serialized. (Raptors taking longer).
3. SCHEDULED TO A WEEK OF ___________
· Once vehicle is serialized with VIN, manufacturing plant will scheduled build week.
4. SCHEDULED TO THE DAY OF ___________
· That’s the day the vehicle is scheduled to be complete and roll off the assembly line.
5. PRODUCED.
· Vehicle is produced and awaiting quality checks and/or repairs.
6. RELEASED AWAITING SHIPMENT
· Vehicle has passed the quality check and is waiting for a railcar or trucking company to pick it up.
· Typically logistics require multiple vehicles going to an area and ensure the railcar and or truck trailer is completely full before transit.
7. SHIPPED WITH A CARRIER LISTED
· Vehicle is in transit
· Estimated Time of Arrival to dealer can be given to customer at this point.
· Periodic intermediate check-in points may be listed in the Vehicle Tracking system as the vehicle moves
8. DELIVERED
· They Vehicle Tracking System will provide a date and final destination.

I hope they don't' schedule mine until they get the Build and Price tool up and running. I haven't finalized the color and a couple of the options and I would like to see the see the car in different colors and would like to get a look at a base cars interior.
