Has anyone found a source for the OEM Oil Cooler? I am looking for an OEM NOS one...would be willing to pay a fair price. Even though my engine did not have a bearing failure he does not want a used oil cooler going back on.

Relocation kit is not an option.

A new one would be $$$$

You would have to source it from Ebay or somewhere. Like stated above try to rebuild.

Rebuild kits are pricey; if you have a o-ring supply place by you it only costs $10 for all the o-rings max. Learned this the hard way the first time around when the rebuild kit didn’t solve my first oil cooler being cracked.

I can't believe no one makes them. Even aftermarket. I've been searching everyday with no avail. The one guy I know that has a bunch won't sell one!

Want it to be factory. Engine bay is basically stock looking minus the blower.

Oil filter had metal in it. Engine builder does not want to reuse oil cooler.

With the age of these cars you are going to have a hard time finding one. I had to purchase just the cooler for $150-200 needing a rebuild. At this point a true oil cooler and filter relocation is a much more viable option. MM doesn’t sell their kit with the cooler anymore just the relocation kit unfortunately.

I agree with OPs engine builder. Took mine apart and flushed it numerous times in a parts washer and still metallic pieces coming out. Gave up and got a relocation kit, love it. Just seems like a risk, really hard to clean out the inside of the oil h.e.

Granted I had a serious engine failure but still dont trust it once it goes.

I had piston damage. Bearings were good. Cut open the filter and there was shavings in it. Car still ran. Not sure how much I can trust someone selling a used one.

Simply pull it apart and look; it comes apart with a flathead and all the internals can be looked at; now the adapter is a different story as I’ve never had mine off.
While it’s apart you can source all the O-rings yourself for $5 instead of $45+ ford charges.
