Living in this craphole of an area...I pretty much stay to myself anyway. Grocery stores are out of suppies and I haven't been able to buy coffee to two weeks thanks to the friggin hoaders. Trying to find a mask?- forget it.

As for ordering from Walmart and picking it up....you can't pick up what they don't have in stock. Shoppers coming in with 9 coughing, nose dripping kids who scatter once they get in---drives me right out as I am high risk..

Honestly I'm in the "try my best but if I get it I get" camp. Liqour stores are still open so not too bad haha. Everything else but groceries and HD/Lowes is shut. Can still find groceries if you look in the right places. Costco has a 30 minute wait to get in.

Lucky.

Here distributors are open but state stores are closed. Just another day in government consistency.

Wife and I work for the state. She's been on work from home orders for a few weeks since she's close to her due date with our daughter so thats been a big relief. So far, no orders from the department director about shutting down her unit.

My facility supports the fleet thats out keeping up on projects and keeping the roads clear. Thankfully we are at the end of the snow season in Northern AZ so snow clearing operations should be winding down. We would probably be the last thing to shut down, as we make sure essential commerce and travel can get through along with state wide security with ADPS/ Highway Patrol.

Ive noticed most non grocery retail is closed. I visited a few dealerships this weekend and both were ghost towns (large volume dealers). I even was able to look at a number of Super Duty's unencumbered. On the way out walking to my Excursion, I passed a group of sales guys totally uninterested in engaging with a guy wearing a camo facemask and gloves.... lmao!

I work in Tampa, TGH is FAR from packed. Infact my sister is a nurse there and has been cancelled till Friday. I’m a Firefighter Paramedic. Most of these “corona calls” we have been running are bullshit. I don’t buy the hype and fake news media propaganda

I seems like AZ people don't care LOL. I am kind of with them. Just washing hands and social distance. But many days I am out and about. Started arguing with 2 guys and home depot today. They acted like the world was ending. I told them to **** off and stop worrying so much. For Christ sake this shit has gone too far. I'm more worried about car crashes or cancer to be honest.

One of the updates last night said
330,000 cases in the US.
That’s 1/10 of 1% of the population.
The wifey and I are taking this very serious but the Media’s handling of this some ****ed up shit
Hunkered down, and while not preppers
We’re prepared.
Think
I’ll update the resume and clean the stuff in the safe, maybe sharpen the knives this week.
Stay safe peeps and a virtual salute to you front line mofo’s you are true badasses.

MA mayor just announced a curfew in our state.
No one outside between the hours of 9pm to 6am. I knew it was a matter of time before that happened.

we've been under an 11pm - 5am for a couple weeks now. Basically it means McDonalds drive through isnt open 24/7

No kidding! I just cant wrap my head around a curfew... Is the virus more active at night? Lol no..

The only way the curfews make sense to me is that they're playing just the tip - nobody cares about an overnight curfew but they'll gradually slip the rest in...I mean expand the times

That's what I'm afraid of.
Just like they said in the beginning these shut downs would only be a for a couple of weeks. Now, it's over a month, then it'll be 2 months and so on.

Wifes 32 weeks pregnant. This entire thing has completely destroyed any chances of it being more than just her and I a the hospital when the baby is born. Couple that with the fact me being in there is pushing it. It's a good thing they're pushing people away but it removes a lot of the support we'd like to have.

Second gear to that - Our area is the worst in the state with positive cases. And there have been multiple cases of parents having their brand new baby taken from them after testing positive in the hospital and giving birth. That's about the most horrible thing I can imagine. So when people tell me it's blown out of proportion, I have a hard time believing that when it could effectively force my wife into post partum. So please, stay at home, wash your hands, and be safe.

I love how all my neighbors and their kids think they are immune, if anything the rug rats are more acceptable to getting and spreading it. I looked out the window this morning to see 4 wives and 10 kids all playing like it was a regular day

Still holding the primary election in WI on Tuesday.

View attachment 1632089

I'm an Election Inspector for our city and had signed-up for a double shift (14 hrs). Last week I sent an email to the Election Judge and City Clerk to take me off the list to work. Wife and I already voted by absentee ballot.

4/4/20 data for the 6 surrounding counties to my place:
24 positives/1020 tested = 2.3% positives and 0 deaths

IDK, maybe I made a bad decision.

WI Governor just postponed tomorrows primary election until June 9.

What a cluster ****.
