What's it take to get a C7 ZR1 into the 9's? Well not much.

I had a very similar trap speed with just gm performance intake and Boostane.
I think 9s can happen without a tune, especially if you have a tire on back.
I think the stock record with a tire is 9.8.
Chevy really missed an opportunity to beat the demon with this car. I think if they would have tried a glory run (like they did with the demon) under perfect conditions etc they could have claimed a mid 9 second 1/4 mile time.
I realize they didn’t build the car for straight line speeds only though.

Just like the C7Z’s et wasn’t the design point, so it won’t be with the C8Z. That said, the 8 base car seems to launch quicker and more efficiently than the 7 base car (no surprise), so the 8Z’s straight line performance may be a pleasant surprise. Good times.
9.90 @ 140 with an intake and tune. That's incredible. He had some back to back solid runs over those two days.

Didn't you run 134.6 MPH?
This guy is running 140. Nothing similar about 134 and 140 traps in the same car.
This car is up 5.5 MPH on you, which is easily 60 rwhp. It must be making 800 + to the wheels

yes, they make 400 less rwhp and run low 8s
140 is about what a 720s traps isn't jt?
I think the reason GM didn't campaign the ZR1 as a 1/4 mile slayer is that they built a track handling car. It just so happens it does well in the 1/4 mile.
Too bad we'll have to wait for a c8 zr1 to see what team corvette can do with a dct and forced induction.

I'm impressed with the tires...My best runs in my SS with M/Ts is 9.90 @ 142+ but most runs are 9.90s to 10.0 something but tires don't hook like that...I may have to go Nitto...Still love C7 though except the idle sounds like Laurence Welk bubble machine.

Just looked it up, the ZR1 with tire is 9.93 @ 140 with a -1300 DA.
But NAZI horsepower is worth twice as much as MAGA horsepower apparently.
The Germans just cant match that YUGE V8 torque.
One in the same is what i keep hearing.
