View attachment 1666472 We stopped by our dealership this morning to see the ‘20 GT500 base model. It is very nice! Hate the black wheels, but the rest is quite nice. The wife asked the salesman if it was easy for her to drive. Of course! I still love my ‘13 more.
Gorgeous color combination. You are correct, the style rim just doesn't look great imo., the black color is fine with the black stripes but something about the style just doesn't look good.

I left a deposit for a 21 and am able to spec out my car and getting it at msrp. That side I have a 13 gt500 super snake and cammed. Car is awsome and a hand full. But as Carrol Shelby once said when asked which was his favorite shelby and he would say. "The next one" Now I know he had nothing to do with the 20's but I'm sure he would be proud of this car as well.

Watching the 13/14 owners try to justify why their cars are better..lol. If that is your preference, that is perfectly fine. I still find Terminators fun, but I would never say they're a better car than a 13/14 GT500.

Its called progress and the 2020 beats the 13/14 in every way.

as for price..the 13/14's had an ADM when they were new too.

Ford had to put an auto in it... couldn't have the flagship taking L's left right and center.

HMMM. What does a Lexus and a 2020 GT500 have in common? The mouth of a bass...

Apparently, not watching very closely or reading/comprehending what's been written...

It took Ford 6 MY's to arrive @:
The same 0 to 60 results.
20 MPH lower top end speed.

To be clear, "the SAME 0 to 60 results" and "20 MPH LOWER top end speed" indicates a TIE and a LOSS, rather than "beat[ing] the 13/14 in every way."

ADMs are for those with more money than brains. Many scored fully-optioned '13s/'14s with no ADMs, at a cost of ~$70K. The MSRP of a fully-optioned '20 is over $100K. Do you have examples of fully-optioned '20s selling with no ADM?

Some of us have repeatedly made the point, here in the 2013-14 Shelby GT500 forum, that this is a matter of personal preference.
In the end, it's all about personal preference.

If you prefer ricey-looks, shift knobs, and wings over classic muscle car styling, 3 pedals, and a shift stick, you may have gotten lost on your way to the 2020+ forum.

That is without question the most polite GTFO I've even seen in my life. Bravo!

I would have to say Better. Why? 6spd trans and a Convertible top makes it Better for me!

Performance wise, the 2020 is better than the 13/14. As it should be. its 6 years newer.

IMHO the reason(s) the 13/14 GT500 is better than the 2020 are:

MANUAL. (By far the biggest reason to me)
Last car Carroll had anything to do with.
Last of the mod motors.
5.8 DOHC 2 year run.
first 200 mph mustang.
Glass top (wish I could of nailed one down)
and last but not least, it looks better from every view.

Once again, these are my opinions.

.
& in your orbit, 180 is faster than 200 ?
Progress = gas guzzler tax ?
The 2020 has it's merits, but it isn't the end-all / be-all it could have been..

Please add that the 13/14 doesn’t look like a fish hook has to be pulled out of its mouth!

Sooo, my 14 GT500 is far "superior" to my Torino Cobra big block that has 500HP. Except I do not look at it that way. I still love the fun factor of driving a 70 muscle car(not a pony car) from the bygone era. Just has that raw experience of shaker shaking, loud exhaust, severely overlapped cam and smell of raw gas(and lots of thumbs up). All the things my GT500 does not have! Each one is just a totally different experience and feel to drive! Love em both, not one as being "superior" to the other.
