Hey guys,

Wondering if anyone has used some type of mat under your car to protect your garage floor? I've seen large mats that are suppose to capture snow and dirt, but what about car fluids?

My 90 coupe leaks a little bit of oil ( rear main seal) and looking for something to protect the floor. Yes I know, fix the leak! Plan on it at some point.

Need to keep this nice. Any advice is appreciated!

Cut up a cardboard box and throw it under the car. If you don’t want that we have some flat plastic catch pans at work, I would have to find out the brand.
I currently use cardboard. Just wondering if there is a better option.

This one on Amazon is only $17.99 (3 ft X 3 ft). $23.99 for 3 ft. X 4 ft. It's a black felt-like material that is absorbent and washable. This one caught my attention because it would look great on your new floor. There other ones there that are pretty much identical.

That's an option, sell it to you. LOL. Funny, when you get your garage floor coated and looking so nice, you just naturally think of ways to keep it looking so nice. I went through the same thing. I can't wait for Spring to arrive so that I can wet clean the floor. My wife loves the fact that I'm actually cleaning floors. LOL.

I picked up an aluminum oil drip pan from O’Reilly and it works nicely. I use it when changing the oil so it doesn’t get all over the garage floor. It’s probably 36” long x 15” wide.

I bought that big dust mop. Unfortunately, it doesn't slide across my floor that easy. Being it's textured I really have to apply pressure. Still works, just not as well as I like.

Do you wet mop your floor? Is yours epoxy or polyurea?
