Man I’m not going to lie, that was a shitty video to watch. Only because I’m pretty sure that ended with the dogs deaths.

What was the water supposed to do? I guess they were panicking. Definitely shouldn’t have been there.

nah… i would bet against it…. Guy broke in… no way to fault the dog

I agree the dude probably deserved it. Yet, if a kid wonders onto a property and you’ve got animals that do that… the dogs are ****ed, and you’re ****ed as an owner.

Can you educate me on how that would work?

Hopefully there was a beware of dog sign. In this instance grown ass man jumped a security wall. Wasn't exactly an unknowing child wandering into the yard to get his Frisbee from what the video shows.

Laws are funny though, what's right isn't always what is "right". Hope the best for the pooches.

You know as well as I do that we aren’t lawyers.

My guess is a kid wanders onto your property, your dog starts ****ing him up, the kid survives or dies, dogs get euthanized, you get sued?

I don’t know. I don’t think it’s that far fetched of a thought process.

Good points.

IDK, are dogs considered a lethal threat? It depends?
Chihuahua no, Pitbull yes?

I was praying the dog would tear his ****ing throat out and enjoy seeing this subhuman bleed out. At this point in time, my compassion and sympathy are all gone. No more forgiveness.

There is both criminal and civil liability. One of my dogs destroyed a trespasser in a manner similar to this. I ended up getting sued. It was worth it.

please do provide details… you got sued? So did you have to pay damages? How is it that the law justified making you responsible? What kind of ”loss” did you suffer if any?

Again there is both civil liability and criminal liability.

You do not to be criminally liable to have civil liability.

I was not criminally liable. The dog was quarantined and then released.

My insurance company settled with the trespasser. I think for maybe $10k although I do not recall the specifics.
