Hey fellas!

Havn’t been on SVTP in a long time, but logged back in yesterday for the first time and I see some familiar screen names from years ago.

A little back story on me.
I bought a new ‘04 Cobra back in 2004 after a having an ‘03 GT. I went through all of the mods, eventually getting to a 2.6KB with all the goodies. In 2012 I sold the car and got into an ‘09 GTR then a ‘17 GTR, both built/tuned by T1, running 8’s in street form and then got out of fast cars for a while.

There is something about the 03/04 Cobras that I absolutely love and can’t get over, and after spending the better part of a decade owning one and being a VERY active member of this forum, I’m back and looking to get into another one.

Hope to contribute where I can and also see where 20+yrs have brought the platform.

Look forward to being involved on the site again!

Tony

Tony,

It’s been a while! I knew went into the GTRs, but never heard much or see much of the ole RaceLubbock crew around. Time has flown and a lot of changes.

Welcome back!!!

Welcome back, Tony. You looking to get another silver Terminator? Or another color. There's a low mileage Sonic Blue Cobra over at Bring-A-Trailer. Not cheap, but nice.

Just the other night my wife told me the best car I've had (that she misses) was my '03 Cobra. Sadly, I agree! So yeah, anyone who is the original owner of a Terminator should really think HARD before they part ways with theirs. JMO.

Thanks Bob! Great to see you’re still running things around here.
I’m open to most colors, but a black with dark suede 04 coupe is my top choice.

My wife and I were talking about cars Saturday and she’s loving the idea. She really likes torch red and DSG as well so we aren’t stuck on just one color.

Beyond that, mods-wise, we’d be open to bone stock up to KB/Whipple stock long block car. Don’t want another racecar, just a fun cruiser. So really just gonna watch the market and wait for the right car.

Yessir! I don’t have FB, but whenever I attend the local car shows or the Cars and coffee, I’ll run across a couple guys from time to time from RaceLubbock.

Talk about some of the old times and the new rides everyone has.

It's funny how often this scenario plays out in one form or another. I see a lot of guys who used to own a Terminator and wanting to get back into one.

For me it was the Fox Body. I traded my 89GT (I was the second owner) in for my Roush. Just got back into a Fox Body last November after being without one for 20 years..... Man, does it feel great to own a Fox Body again.

Good luck on your search OP. My vote is DSG FTW!!!!

I might be thinking of selling my 03 silver vert. I’m the 3rd owner with 12k original miles . But I haven’t decided guess it’s all on how much I get for it

Running things around here? Hell NO! LOL. This is a great place that's just hard to stay away from. The ONLY "social media" playground that I'm active on.

Sounds like time is on your side, Tony, so you'll eventually find the right Terminator at the right price. Did you check out the Sonic Blue Terminator at BAT? If not, it's worthwhile to look at the auction even if you have no intent to bid on it. Here's the link.

HAHA well you're active on here and sharing 20+ years of knowledge in a fun community. There's a handful of names still on the board that it's great to see and you're definitely one of the originals!

I just looked at the BAT link and WOW! That is an absolute gem of a car. It's cool to see stock terminators, especially one like that in showroom condition.

The funny thing about looking to pick up another Terminator is that I sold my 2nd GTR (black '17) before my wife ever had a chance to even ride in it, so she has ZERO fast car experience and is 100% in on us having a fun 6spd car because she wants to wheel the thing as much as I do.

I think we will get really serious about buying around the end of the year or start of 2025 so I'll be able to watch for owners on here with a CLEAN car that they'll consider selling to someone who will appreciate owning it.

I would love to find a stock 04 coupe that we can go through the mod ladder with but would consider anything from stock all the way up to a KB/Whipple street car as long as it is clean title/no accidents. We will see.

I sold my first one last spring after having it 3 years. Now have a second one and not letting this one go. It's getting too expensive to get back into these lol.

Pretty sure I stole your screen name for my plate and YT channel nameView attachment 1832242

I dig it!
Just checked out your channel, I like the videos!
As for not selling the new one, trust me, don't sell it! You'll be making a thread like this and it sucks!!!
