DOT inspections for commercial fleets starting this month. Well.. May

I do it whenever I want , for whoever I want… once a year. Take care of fleets with DOT vehicles. They call and tell me the month they expire. And I just come out check out the vehicles, and see if they will pass or fail

As most here know I used to build/paint diecast cars. I used to try and customize the 1/18 Maisto SVT Cobra's for members here.

Pros:

Provided a service to SVTP members here to get a replica of their cars.

Was a cool hobby that allowed me to deal with different people and build different cars that provided certain challenges. Kept me seeking ways to improve my abilities and product.

Most, if not all SVTP members, were very appreciative of the service I provided and word of mouth quickly spread. I received many positive comments and feedback on things I should do or try that also improved my product.

It was a nice little side income that I would use to fund part of my annual family vacation.

Cons:

There were not many cons at all. Everyone here on SVTP was always very kind and understanding when situations arose.

However, if I had to pick some I would say shipping was one issue. Not price or time wise, but UPS and USPS treated the packages with very little regard for the contents. So, sometimes things would arrive damaged. SVTP members were always VERY cool. They would send the car back and I would repair it and send it back.

Some other issues I would say are cost of materials. Since I used automotive paint it was a little pricey.

Lastly, as most know, I lost my garage to my 65 Mustang and 57 Thunderbird. So, I do not have a place to paint anymore and had to stop the hobby for now.

It was great while it lasted and I was able to create some pretty cool SVT Cobra diecast cars.......

Thanks all. Looking for more passive sources. Things you may invest in or own (vending machines, atms, etc.) that don't require much effort.

My Only Fans account just requires so much work.

Those and storage units are everywhere here. People have been complaining about the amount they're building.
It cracks me up when people have more S#!T than they can store at home. Time for a yard sale or a bigger house LOL. Now temporary storage because you're moving or changing locations is understandable.

The car wash thing is funny. I've seen some that stay packed and others that seem to never have a line. I guess it's location, location, location LOL....

My aunt and uncle have over 700 storage units that they rent out at 3 different locations. They're always at 90%+ capacity. 75% of the units don't get opened more than once a year.

It's absolutely ridiculous to rent them. If it doesn't fit in your house, you DON'T NEED IT.

There's a carwash by me that is pretty nice. I wouldn't take a show car through it, but a daily is fine. It has a line of 20+ cars every single time I drive by it.

Dude have you seen all of them on Zaragosa between montwood and Edgemere?

4 in like 2 miles

Then the one that just opened on Joe Battle at Pebble hills rarely has more than a car or two when I drive by.

It's from all the people who are moving here. They've moved a 2 story house with a basement into a typical 1800 SQ single story and the crap doesn't fit, or doesn't fit the style of home. That, or their new house has taken at least one year longer to complete that they thought, and they sold their house up north a year ago.

I have seen them every where. There's one across from EPT (I actually run my daily through that one LOL). One on the corner of Montana and Saul Klienfeld (Hardly ever see a car in there). A bunch on Montwood and so on LMAO!!!

It's crazy.

If by "passive" you mean not having to do anything for income to roll in than mine are:

1. Pension. (However, the IRS defines this as non-passive income even though no work is currently performed to receive it.)

2. Capital gains, dividends and interest income. (IRS defines those as portfolio income but no labor is involved.)

3. Cash back on credit card.

My wife is really good at "earning" cash back on credit cards.
