2r3v9j447-BA I bought a used lower today.. cheap... but most of the other intakes have a -BB part number. I wonder what the part number change was for?
yes they are rare beacuse they are crazy expensive lol.. they were supose to be good for 40hp just from the resistance improvment and then even more hp for the increased lift and lack of bleedown...incresed rpm capability etc.. who know lol... im still wondering if bad company would respond...
odd.. jesel said they do not work with stock hydraulic lash posts... maybe its the size of the oil hole in the follower?? so your running the solid followers with the hydraulic posts.. no issues with oil pressure or anyhting.. i wonder if the gt500 has larger oil holes already on the stock...
I run the kenne bell bypass now.,. remote mounted.. not on the intake as there is no room for it. Same deal on the whipple. no room to mount it under my throttle body that will be mounted almost directly onto the back of the blower... lol, I hear ya on the prochrager one but i think that was...
ok, i have my terminator motor mods coming and planing. I got a new 3.0 gen v blower.. working on my rear inlet setup. on my little 2.1 kenne bell i ran 1 bypass valve.. feeding it to a spacer plate attached to the blower.. it works great.. with the bigger blower i am looking at using an inline...
Hardly used set of Jesel roller followers and Lash posts... 30-40hp extra.. super high rpm...no more spit followers as these will not come out... solid lash posts with shims.. will fit any 2v/4v mod motor if you get new lash post/adjusters tops etc... this setup is for a 5.4 shelby....comes with...
try this stuff..I had a tick that would come when warm... it fixed it! use 2 bottles... sounded like a lifter tick.. brand new gt500.. swaped lifter followers etc... this was the fix per online and it works!!
WTB 2001 cobra timing cover... anyone got a real nice one hidden away :) building another motor.. needs to be the 2001 style with the single bolt damper.. XR3E-6D080-CA
yes, looks like the direct drive snout fits the 3.0 blower as its shown here on the gt500. The gt500 uses the inboard pulleys for the drive.. oppostie the cobra...
I use the accessory drive from a 2001 cobra... one belt setup.. so I am going to need a short snout... they are $350 but not sure it will fit on the gen 5 3.0 blower.. hoping tech support will email me back soon.
I think with the intercooler in there the air would get smoothed out and would not be an issue..... at least at my power lever lol... but yes, I have looked at that hat... not sure they sell it seprate...
the snout on the blower.. they have 2 versions... extended snouts and direct drive snouts... are they interchangable? If i buy the direct drive snout with my blower... the shortest snout.. can i later just unbolt it and put a longer snout on it if i wanted without changing the whole front of...
I looked at that but I really dont have room for an intercooler anyplace else other than under the intake... I was thinking of just making a simple adapter and mounting the throttle body to it... keep that intercooler... but the blower seems to be a better fit for me at this time...
I think I might have a new plan... I have been working with Whipple, It looks like a gen5 3.0 with direct mount snout(same as gt500) will get my alignment real close...So I think im gonna go that route! Thanks for the help guys!
well.... I have a kenne bell right now.. lil 2.1 my setup is a mess.. its in a 66 mustang and I dont have much room in there.. or hood clerance... I am thinking of putting an eaton in there and running a large rear mount turbo..as thats all i really have room for... I might try and do the kenne...
Can someone who has an eaton help with a few dimensions? see pics...
top of mounting pad to bottom of blower pulley
center of mounting pad to edge of pulley
thanks guys!
great info... that hp combo chart is cool! so ive been looking.. kenne bell 3.2 shows its the same size as the 2.8... diffrent rotor pack. I wonder if it would work well and still have some low end power.. i know that 2.8 is working real hard at 800hp but its probably an animal on that steup...
I was hoping some one would pipe in who has done it... 750hp it not whimpy bye any means.. but I was really wondering if it could do it.. what about a 2.9 whipple?
assume max effort.. built motor..e85, full fuel system, cams, headers, no cats, 3" pipes etc... it seems like 750whp is the most I see around the web... can it go 800hp or higher??
you can buy just a simple bolt in stud kit correct... But i think some folks redrill the hole larger and deeper when the crank it out of the car.....??
