03 Cobra in Forza Horizon 5

So I got the car about 2 hours after it was out and it is good.
The 7.2L with the twin screw makes 1351hp and 1007 tourqe. The car can be made to be under 3k lbs and factory set gearing the car will do 270.

The fully upgraded factory engine makes 774 hp and 700+ torque.

Oddly I think this car has one of the few unique sounding exhaust changes between the tiers. It sounds like three different exhaust types unlike most which is oddly just louder versions.

Well to be fair that’s how they came from the factory. I enjoy the running horse on some colors.

Already mentioned in the thread.. you have to do events on the playlist to earn 20 points to unlock the car… and once the time passes, I don’t think you’ll be able to get it again… unless they decide to release it for everyone. So you only have a short time to unlock it.

You can also buy it from the auction house because some people are selling them.

The easiest way to get 20 points would be set the difficulty to the lower amount it lets you and do the 3 championships for 5 points each. On lower difficulty with the map on etc it will take maybe half an hour to do the 9 races.

For the last 5 points, there’s one that says take a photo of a car at a spot, that’s easy but if you don’t have the car, skip it.

There’s a speed trap or long jump challenge, with a good car it’s easy enough.

It’ll take a little calculus for a new player but it’s good that it’s just the 20 point challenge. If it was 40pt, it would be hard for a new or long return player to get because you probably wouldn’t have the expansion packs that have a few easy challenges, and you wouldn’t have the cars or money to finish it up.

There are daily challenges that have 1 point each. If you get to Tuesday or Wednesday, and don’t yet have it, hit a message on this thread and a gamer tag and I’m sure someone here can help you sort it out by joining your party and walking it in.

I also did some a class builds and got it pretty quick.

For a balanced tune, I run the rally tires widest and max spaced with stock engine to about 585hp, sport transmission set to 4.10 gears, drift suspension that I tuned with sway bars, race brakes, and some weight reduction. I had a point or two left so I did a middle clutch and maybe a drive shaft iirc. I did a race diff also, some stuff I’m forgetting.

Rims I left stock for this a 800 build but put 19’s or 20’s to bring the car in spec for a800. The photos above are a different build.

Front/rear

30/30 psi tires
1250#\1125# springs
13/11.8rebound
9/8.5 bump stiffness
1.00/22.5 sway bars (yes like no front bar. It makes cars turn in better, glitchy. Dial lower rear bar for twitchiness. Dial up for mor twitchy. Front engine Rwd cars I do ~ 0/33%, mid engine rwd I do 0/50%, awd f/m/r engine 0/75-100% as a base and work from there. Front bar makes cars under steer excessively in this game)

2.0/1.7 camber
0/0 toe
7.0 caster (max)

Differential 0/0 (one tire fire! But good for turn in.) for drag racing and drifting do 100/0. Accel/decel

Trans 4.10, on sport trans it looks like it has t56 ratios 2.66/1.78/1.3/1.0/.8/.63 already.

I did the uphill mountain run in 3:05 (dirty) with game racers and did some online lobby’s a class and won a few/came close to winning others. It’ll also do 200mph with that tune which is rare for a class. Handles good.

I did a down force grip tune also but it ran 3:07 up the mountain and that’s as tight as stuff gets so I haven’t run it online. Maybe for like a very tight .5m oval or something where it’s just all grip but the game has bigger corner.



Cool thing is this came out kinda like a full bolt on car around 475whp with full suspension and great brakes/tires. I did the 4.10’s because nostalgia haha. I can get the car faster with some concessions but I wanted to go real world and enjoy it.

I found my issue. You have to unlock seasons. So as a new player I could not unlock the car. I had to play for awhile and once I got to Mi casa or what ever it unlocked seasons which then gave me the ability to play events to unlock cars for the season.

19,000 03/04 cobras, 300 cobra r’s fits that idea perfectly imo.

Plus, I’d rather have 20 03/04 cobra’s in my garage… I have 20 cobra r’s from various builds that I’ll probably never touch again hahaha.

Right.. I have been trying to buy another one from the auction house and it is damn near impossible.. as soon as one comes up, buy the time I click buy out, it is already sold. No idea how people are that fast, I tried about 20 times and then gave up. I really want at least 2, so I can have one normal Cobra and one with the Saleen kit... but would prefer about 13 so I can have one in every color, lol.

P.S.. when is the SVTP meet up?

The auction house is a joke. You have to constantly refresh and hit y, refresh y, refresh y…… and then when one pops up you gotta break that muscle memory and quickly hit a a or wherever to buy it out. I’ve had 5 of them slip past me because I’m honestly too old to sit there like a sugar addict on crack and then nail that reaction time after 10 minutes.

I’ve just saved 9-10 tunes of various power and build type and am changing those often. I have like 1200 cars in this game and it’s the only car I’ve ever done this on but it’s honestly better than having multiple cars.

I can switch tunes on the fly while driving around, just hit pause, go to tune car while driving, hit the load tune stuff and there it is… for now this works ok.

Soon I’ll have 20 of these 03 cobra’s. Soon when people start listing them for $20,000,000 in the auction house. I’ll buy boats of them.

I have about $545,000,000 in the game. I put some “brabham” ‘s for $3-4m each time I play in the auction house. I buy them for $1.5M, take the wheel spin outta the perks, and then sell the car. Each time I log on I can make $5-25 million in a few hours putting those for sale.

Guys on a computer with a hard wired 1 gig cat6 cable can auction snipe much better than my old fat ass on my Xbox with a 1gig cat5 line. No worries though, I found my walk around for now

As far as an svtp meetup, it’s anyone’s hand to try and make an svtp group and do all that. I play maybe 10 hours a week and sometimes not at all for 5 months so I’d be the wrong guy. I don’t even have a headset hooked up. Years back I had Astro a50’s in like 2015, but I was 25 and gaming was still a fun thing after work.

Now, bingo, shooting ranges, golden coral, and occasional friends with benefits at her place or mine calls my name… don’t get old guys, don’t get old… hahahaha

Thanks for the help man. I am starting to understand. ***Edit*** I just got it. Painted sonic blue with Red Brembos to match my cobra. So cool to own a car on the game you own in real life!

That’s rad! That’s a real sonic blue you did. The game one is like bright Atlantic blue from 1998 or something hahah.

I built up a silver one and did some wheelies tonight.

I love how detailed this car model is. If you zoom in on the fog lamp it almost looks gt7/photo realistic

I wish I could put some skinnies up front and really drag pack the car. It’s got 275’s up front in these images but I tried to hide them with the angles.

I like also how the map is kinda like Colorado/Nevada/or Arizona. I know it says Mexico but I like it.

Up north and north east it’s kinda like Montana or Idaho

For a really good B700 tune run drag radials at 30-35psi front and 15-20psi rear, then do suspension and mild weight or power stuff. I’d recommend to get the sway bars and do 0/65 front/rear.

I took that online and won/almost won a lot of b class races.
