ok, this might be a dumb question. but i just bought a set of these cobra seats for a 96 cobra. and the guy kept the seat rails, and i don't know if i can use 2000 model rail with electronics, or what. i already tried the 96's and they wouldn't work. if you know anything, let me know. thanks.....glws

The electronics are different, you will have to find a way to splice plugs or swap motors and controls.

99+ have a 4 prong female square plug on the seat where 94-98 have a female plug that takes two flat prongs.

94-98 have a different plug for the seat belt sensor while its on the same harness as the 99+ thus why there are two more prongs in a single plug.

A search might help more.

two of the wires on the four prong plug are for the seat belt warning alarm on the 99-04. if you have a 96 then just chop off the connector and put on a male and female end on the motor wires and you are good to go thats what I did.
