I was guna say.....
I have 4:30's in my car (I only know of a couple of people with lower gear's - 4:56) and from a 40 I would even leave it in second. For you to be in third at 40mph with stock gear's is bad, for you to spin means you need tires, thats not even funny, thats dangerous if you have that bad of a traction problem.
