Drove to the track and ran on the stock tires with 32 psi tire pressure and ran 11.82 @ 123.6 mph. The fun part was that I lined up with a stock Z06 and he ran 12.0 @ 120 mph. Needless to say the crowd was very surprised.

My GT500 is making right at 550 rw hp and has a 3.73 gear.

I know there are several GT500's that are quicker on sticky tires, but has anyone gone better than 11.8 on the stock tires yet?

I have the race on my camcorder... The Z fell asleep at the light and on top of that he was a VERY VERY SHITTY driver. his first pass of the day he ran a 13.1 @ 12X, second pass was a 12.7 @ 12X, and so on.... Congrats on beating a rookie driver...... try running ranger in his stock Z, i bet you wont think it's fun then.....:pepper: :pepper:

1.89=good driver mod

A 1.89 on street tires, not to mention 285 wide tires on 18 inch rims with 550rwhp, is very respectable.
but thats not it, hes got 3.73 gears with 19x11 inch rims (aluminum also) on 295 tires

yea, the 3.73 gears and 19 inch wheels makes it even harder to hook this car on street tires.

Side note: 295 tires are a little small for an 11" rim. I would think 305 or 315's would be a better choice. Is there not enough clearance?

it's rather ironic that hpe is selling the car on ebay, but the guy on this forum that claims to own the car is denying that he is John Hennessey, the criminal.

Go check his posts on Viperalley and you will see that he talks that way even though he is supposed to be a supporting vendor over there. They are the only site that hasnt banned his butt. It's definitely him.

Wider tires are better for launching. Bigger contact patch. Stock tires are the worse. If he put BFG KDW's or PS2's there is no way it would be eaiser to launch on the stock 9.5 in skimpy tires. I totally agree on the gears though.

they'll fit, its just the 295 has a fully supported sidewall with a big 11inch rim so it handles better :thumbsup:
