I've meant to make a thread for this but just haven't had the time to do it and post all of the photos. We actually aren't the ones doing the full restoration but we took care of the final body work and paint. Car turned out incredible and the color (Brittany Blue) really pops. Anyways, here's the progress.

Day we got it in at the other shop. First thing I thought was that it was a GT500. I never knew until this car that the 67 and 68 GT350s shared design queus with the GT500s. I always thought they had the more subtle designs like the earlier models up until the 69-70 years.

Moved to the new shop and next to a drag car we painted in Wimbledon White. (Awesome color by the way!)

Sealed the entire car in DP90. Great product that is very durable and gives off the perfect matte finish. I would have loved to at least have seen the car put back together like this. The reflections made for some cool photos too.

Bonus material: 1969 Boss 302 we sponsor. The owner informed us that it was one of Parnelli's old Mustangs, but we dont know if it was one of the cars that he raced in the series or just a personal car.

I'll just post the rest in here and update the thread as we go because we actually have some even bigger, no budget cars coming in the near future. TMS (The Mustang Shop) does the restorations but we are their go-to for final body and paint and some of the fab-work and such. We do all of these Mustangs while still managing to push out 130+ cars a month out of a shop that is a third the size of our old one and we averaged about 200 out of there. So all in all we have a pretty kickass crew!

68 Fastback we did a little work on.

Another Wimbledon White vert we did last week.

All original coupe deluxe that was owned by an older woman. Pretty ugly colors but everything turned out really good.

I like that burnt orange/bronze paint, too. That hue has always been one of my all time favorites. Which is way I love Atomic Orange on a C6 Z06.

Nice stuff but how come you painted the engine bay the body color?

Good question. We actually did a lot of stuff to the GT350 that would be considered incorrect, but basically from my understanding the owner's budget didn't include making it entirely original. It was his dad's car who passed away so he just wanted to have it restored to where he could keep it and enjoy it. The original fit and finish and fiberglass work is pretty horendous on these cars so we did a couple little things to make those panels fit a little better, plus some of the mounting points were cracking so we had to add some material to reinforce them. If the engine bay ever needs to go back to the original black though it wont be very hard to do. Original on this particular car would be the best way to go but the owner wanted something different and cheaper.

Thanks for the compliments though guys. Look forward to sharing the other builds we will get to work on in the future. The burnt orange color is actually pretty cool, but I just wasn't a fan of the interior color to go along with it.

Yep! Like I mentioned, there are some upcoming cars that literally have no budget.

Those are the best ones. He never gives a price. He just says it will cost what ever it takes to make it perfect and people just pay it. There is allot of people out there with allot of money. Im not one. :)
His restorations are all original stuff. No aftermarket parts at all.

That "burnt orange" is a 66 only color code V for Emberglow Metallic. I have a restored "Deluxe" (actually "Luxury") A code GT convertible (original pony interior, automatic, power top, console, styled steel wheels, front discs, rally pac, etc). The color is fairly rare and stands out compared to the legions of red, blue, white, etc. Mustangs.

Gorgeous work - thanks for sharing. The Ivy Green fastback you pictured is a '65-66 though. I had a gorgeous Emberglo '66 factory GT coupe (A-code) built in San Jose - totally rust free - loaded with SS wheels, console, A/C, power steering, 8-track, parchment interior, convenience group. It was a beautiful car - one of my top 3 color choices. I sold it and my '94 Cobra to buy my '14 GT. Wish I could keep them all...

THE BEST BODY STYLE EVER PRODUCED FOR A STREET CAR. Period.
The rawness of this particular car is what draws me in. Pic of the engine?
I didn't get a chance to take a picture of the engine unfortunately. I should have but it is just running a Roush motor at this time and was covered with plastic when I looked at it. It will be back eventually though so I will get some then.

I used to know my Mustangs without hesitating but now I cant remember what features go to what years.
