I have a full on build thread but I’ll spare you guys from that lol figure I would post a thread since I get a lot of interest whenever I post in the show your vehicle thread.

Truck is a 1986 Comanche XLS. Grandfather ordered it new in 1985. It originally had the 2.8 V6 with a 3 speed auto trans, Dana 35 rear end (trash). It now has 2002 trans am LS1 & 4L60E with 48k miles.

I have been working on this swap on and off since 2010 and really started hammering on it in 2019. All that’s left is putting the interior back together and paint and body for now. It sat at a shop for 14 months waiting to be painted by a friend and the **** sucker never touched it beside ruining my stock fenders, trimmed them to put aftermarket flares on that I didn’t want.

Phase one is to get it running and driving. It’s on a stock LS1 ECU that’s been converted to stand alone by LT1 wiring.

Phase two is paint and body - 2024/2025 maybe

Phase three is gonna be a BTR stage 2 cam, 2800 stall and a ford 8.8 read end. The truck is just going to be a weekend cruiser it will not see off road so I’m not going to do a 4WD swap

She’s running now, got some bugs to work out.

That's bad ass. Are you going for the sleeper look? Or building it for off-road? Or just a fun driver?

Whoa!! I hate working with wiring. LOL. That is a really awesome project. What color paint are you going with?

Paul, he said in an earlier post that he wouldn't be doing any off-road stuff, so there won't be any 4wd mods being made.

Thanks guys, yea it’s just gonna be a weekend cruiser take it to shows etc. Means to much to me to take it out and tear it up.

It will be painted Fire cracker red, it’s a color used on the new gladiators. I was gonna do it granite crystal to match my gladiator but I feel like I need to at least keep it in the red family.

Also changing out the wrangler rubicon wheels I have on it for black gladiator rubicon wheels.

I gotta finish up the interior, wire in my digital dash, do some final wiring under the hood and loom a few things. Shooting to drive it on my birthday, March 3

Put some stock style halogen headlights back in, I like the look way better than the LEDs. I also put the stock fenders back on. I clear coated the sanded part. Unfortunately this is how it will stay till it goes to paint and body. At that time I’ll have the notch customs M Max fenders installed. Color matched.

Wish the asshole hadn’t cut and sanded my fenders. Oh well
