How much are you wanting to spend? A good HCI package will make 75+ rwhp.

It can't be that hard to switch from speed density to mass air. By the way, HCI mean heads, cam, and intake.

Heads cam intake.

Only having a $1000 budget only leaves you bolts or used heads and intake.

gears will help out a lot 3.73
short belt
under drive pulleys
Off road h or x pipe
cold air intake (plug the coolant lines going into the EGR plate)
E-fan

i found this:

1986-88 MUSTANG MASS AIR CONVERSION KIT FORD LINCOLN : eBay Motors (item 300413578718 end time Apr-09-10 02:42:43 PDT)

The problem with Speed Density is, that by changing many engine components you will adversely effect the volumetric efficiency. Speed density can detect some changes with it's MAP, TPS and ACT sensors. It can not detect that you have changed the volume of air coming in and out of the engine. A Mass Air sensor directly reads the mass of air (number of air molecules). By doing this, it can detect the changes in the volume of air, in addition to it's pressure and temperature. This metering process allows the computer to adequately adjust for increased airflow resulting from the addition of throttle body, upper/lower intake, cylinder heads or camshaft. Converting from Speed Density to Mass Air will allow your engine to reach its full potential and is an integral part of any performance
build up.

so this means i cant do shit till i add this???

that bums

how bout i go carb on this car
