1996 Mustang Cobra
Up for sale is my 1996 Mustang Cobra. I have owned the vehicle for over seven years. The car was supercharged when I bought it. The engine leaned out and the number eight piston broke. Since then I had the engine rebuilt at Competitive Edge. The cylinders were bored out .020 over and Manley forged pistons were added. MMR 900 forged rods were also added. The engine was put back together with ARP2000 hardware. The shortblock is built to handle 900HP.
After getting the long block back I reassembled it, added a Spec stage 2 clutch and BBK Longtube headers. Once everything was back together I had the vehicle Dynotuned. It has a Diablo Chip in it that Dyno'd 300 WHP. There was a pesky idle issue that I was never able to get figured out. At that point in my life my wife and I had kids, and then I didn't have the money or time to work on it.
I have also obtained 2003 Cobra cylinder heads and a 99/01 Cobra intake to do a head swap. At this point the vehicle does not run because it needs the head and intake swap done. The vehicle hasn't run for about three years. Make no mistake, his vehicle will be a project, but everything is in place for a rewarding, and reliable, sports car at a great price.
I have over $5000.00 in the engine as it sits in the vehicle now. Included in this deal will be the 03/04 heads, and 99/01 intake. Also included are FR500 wheels with new Sumitomo Tires. Summit Racing seats and FR500 Steering Wheel will be included as well.
