Just curious but did anyone notice how "HIGH" up the parking brake lever is?? That shows me that the parking brake cables are stretched to all hell which is indefinitely indicative of high mileage and excessive use.

Doesn't look "high" up to me. Mine goes up just as high and i have no problems with mine.

Its a "factory safety recall" You call up your local Ford dealership to find out if your car qualifies for the fix; not all of them do. Basically its a plate that they put on the floor pan to make the parking brake more effective at holding the car in place when its applied.
