This is a rare limited edition model of the 2001 Mustang SVT Cobra 4.6 DOHC 1:4 scale engine.
Ford commissioned only 1,000 of these fully functioning model engines and they weren’t available for sale to the public , but they were awarded to a few of the select dealers as an achievement award such as Ford executives, engineers and dignitaries. Some were donated to charity auctions. This engine is number 0577 of 1000.
The detailing and accuracy is beyond anything you typically find on the retail market. Every part is intricately made right down to the fuel injectors and SVT engine plaque. The replica detail is such that you can see the copper windings through the vents of the alternator , cut away cam cover where you can see the valve train and operating rotating cam timing chains, operate the brass throttle body butterflies, IAC motor, the true texture in the intake plenum and exhaust manifolds, and pull out the oil dipstick. Through cut-aways and clear plastic cam coverings show the rotating timing chain, cams and operating valves. The pulleys rotate as well, showing the belt tensioner and moving parts. Anything tied to the serpentine belt rotates. You can see the timing chains move along with the cams. This is one solid diecast model. A crank tool is included that inserts into the pressure plate to turn the engine. This could well be the most detailed model engine ever built in a 1:4 scale.
This is a MUST HAVE for Ford collectors. These were never offered to the public and very rare.
It comes complete with Engine, silver engine stand, black stand platform with silver plate with edition number and specs, 2001 SVT Dealer Brochure and box with edition number.
The box has moderate shelf wear but is still very presentable and the model engine itself is in EXCELLENT CONDITION!!
The model will be carefully packed in the original box it came in from the factory with the molded styrofoam for the engine to be carefully packed in. Then, the original numbered box will be shipped into another box with extra packing.
