2003 Mach1 vs 2004 Mach1

What is the difference was anything changed?

04 has bare cam covers, no storage net on the headliner for 04, 04 has satellite ready raido, I am sure there are some other differences but thats't all I can think of right now.

I have a 03, 4 cats on that. HP difference of 50, I hope not, I'd be :mj:

I heard somewhere that the 03 cats flow better than the 04

03 here as well that had 4 cats now it has no cats. Where oh where has my little cat gone, where oh where could it be??

I think 50 hp is a stretch...more like 5.

i'm pretty sure kissmyazzure is being sarcastic. the stereo is changed, the cam covers/coil pack covers aren't powdercoated, and supposedly on most of the 04s the heads ticking problem is gone.

Also, the 04s, most of them have the TMX2 computer, which is a bit of a pain in the ass to tune. You can figure out which computer you have, it is listed on the passenger side door sticker.

I have both-03 & 04.Besides the previously mentioned items the 04 also has a revised shifter(MUCH MUCH better than the 03!!!),less restrictive exhaust,hotter tune in the ECU,and 5 more hp-10 more ft lbs tq.Check them out on my web site www.waltenberrymotorsports.com

Yes you can really feel the torque in the seat of the pants.Pulls much harder thru 3rd & 4th.There both very fun to drive though. The 04 seems to REALLY want to put you in the RH ditch on your 1st to 2nd gear change at WOT if your not careful!!!

Really now I have heard it both ways. From what I have read the fastest stock Mach 1 was an 03. That is the strange thing about cars take two same year cars dyno and one will have more hp than the other :dw:

I have the TMX2 computer and have been running my SCT flash tune for 10k miles with no problems. Car dynod 309hp after the tune :burnout:

There is no difference in hp between the 03's and 04's... They are both rated at 305hp and 320tq.. Mine made 290rwhp and 311rwtq with just a maganaflow catback.. It makes now with the mods in my sig. 308 & 327.... And It runs 12.1's-12.0's N/A..

Who cares what the rated power is. We all know that they are make more than they are rated for.

Do we have any Dyno #'s stock pre and post a typical catback application for each year?
And are we assuming a 14-15% reduction from the crank to the rubber?
Thats what I use.
