assume max effort.. built motor..e85, full fuel system, cams, headers, no cats, 3" pipes etc... it seems like 750whp is the most I see around the web... can it go 800hp or higher??

Are the set ups you're seeing running the standard or Mammoth inlet? I imagine that makes a difference going for 800.

Years ago I met/raced a guy who made 740 on a 2.8 with headers and e85 (so I was told). Built motor with 10+ comp, cams and big exhaust, I'd say well north of 8. I think 03 white snake (sp?) is already on that combo.
I was hoping some one would pipe in who has done it... 750hp it not whimpy bye any means.. but I was really wondering if it could do it.. what about a 2.9 whipple?

Yup. I made 829 hp, 747 Tq on 22 psi.
My buddy who is not on here, Cobra Swapped GT, built motor, KB 2.8 LC made 839 hp 811 tq on 24 psi.
great info... that hp combo chart is cool! so ive been looking.. kenne bell 3.2 shows its the same size as the 2.8... diffrent rotor pack. I wonder if it would work well and still have some low end power.. i know that 2.8 is working real hard at 800hp but its probably an animal on that steup!!! white snake.. how did you like the 2.8 on the street?? Post in the thread what combo you’d like to add. Looks like @oldpaint hasn’t been on in a bit but has been responsive in the past.
I copied it to an excell file.. worked fine...
I planned on going that too…just to have the data.
I made 1,250 fwhp with a 2.8 but it was on a 358 cid SBF. It will move enough air to support that kind of power.
