I normally tune GM's but ever since i picked up the lightning for the wife, ive been learning the SCT software. So good friend of mine asked me to play with his truck yet keep it on the conservative side....so heres my first outing

This was the first time tuning a ford using the SCT software. I wanted to keep this truck on the safe yet effiecent side of things for now. it will eventually step up to dual 3" as the 2.5" bassani exhaust was showing a restriction.

582.43rwhp / 690.80rwtq [boost only]
...this truck has been a best of 11.17@124 on 500 rwhp so this thing should fly

hmmm.

Pretty damn nice!!!

11.17's are very good for a 1/2 ton with only 500 whp. Hell that's even a great time for a 500 whp Mustang. 10's should not be a problem I don't think with the power increase. TS truck?

Either the dyno read low or you are really light. 500rwhp seems low for a L trapping 124.

Well done sir. That shows how worthless peak dyno numbers are. I rather run 124mph with 500hp than 600hp.

customers truck has the typical weight reduction of bumper removal, fiberglass leafs, no spare, no hitch with centerlines.

you are correct with peak numbers. its over all power under the curve the makes a vehicle fast not just a high peak.

ive run 122 mph in the silverado and thats 4600lbs with an average of 550 rwhp
