Killer build!

Can you plug the crank sensor in with the RH MMR fitting in place?

Thanks man.

Not sure which one you are talking about unless you mean the sensor just to left of it. I thought that was some type of temp sensor but yeah they don't interfere with anything.

ok, i just saw an article online from fast fords where they did the same as you with the springs but also added a second wastegate and got the motor to rev to 6900 but they didn't say if there was any more back pressure issues. i'm anxious to see what happens with your build because if it all goes well i'm going to pick me up a single kit and modify the kit accordingly and swap springs.

Thanks for keeping us posted! I have the single kit as well...Im about to vent my waste gate to atmosphere and put in a cutout on mine to help with back pressure. Keep up the good work your build looks awesome...wish I had that kind of money to drop!!!

The springs only help if you're seeing valve float. If you're not seeing float it won't make a difference. The motor only making power until 6900 is due to the back pressure not the spring pressure. You will still have back pressure issues until you swap the turbo even with better springs.

Won't make any difference at your boost/power levels. Look at my review, I gained 1hp with the cutout (3.5"). It didn't make any real difference until we pushed 11.4 psi. I've said it before and I'll say it again, the only way to eliminate properly the back pressure issues is to swap to a turbo with a bigger turbine. The 76mm is fine on the compressor side but anything less then 79/80mm is going to create high back pressure.

Been doing busy work on it tonight. Mounted my breather tank, put in new Stock trans cooler(bent one of the lines), blending the WG piping and did a little spit shine in the engine compartment.

Got the cams/chains installed last night. Put on the front cover, accessories and few other small things.

My latest issue. Im going to try and run a 90* out of the rail and see if that will have enough clearance to get around that stuff.

Im really happy I've mocked so much stuff to help save from headaches once everything is in the car.

Well the motor, trans, driveshaft and front suspension are all in. All the fuel system has been plumbed.

Still working on getting all the components plugged in or lines hooked up. But its all coming along nicely.

Also couple pics of the drain fitting I put into my pan so I can vent both valve covers.

Also a helpful hint for priming the 4v engines oilling system is oil + weed sprayer + 5 bucks in fittings = Oil primer

How I did it \/\/\/\/

Using the sprayer from the hardware store is how the 4.6 guys did it. Just need to come up with an adapter from the hose to your motor port.

priming engine

Garden sprayer oil priming- which port?

Garden sprayer Pre-Oiler for 4.6L

Got the stock side of things all completed today. Engine is in and all plugged up. Got the Lines ran for my vented catch can. Removed the fuel charcoal canister/emissions stuff. Put the wheels on also because I had to get a sneak peak.

Tomo I'll start putting the turbo kit back on.

With everything else, I'm surprised you stuck with the stock intake manifold.

Awesome build, congrats!

Thanks and will do.

Itll get a intake later down the road but I had to stop somewhere. Trust me I wanted cams, intake, oil pan, tubular radiator support, etc etc etc.

Thanks man.
