Sorry SVTP, Ford got it's ass handed to it on this one. I guess Chevy decided to get their shit together designing the 1LE.

LMAO, Motor-trend is so Chevy biased if they compared a Chevy Volt against the 13' GT500, they'd find some way to pick the Volt. No doubt the 1LE would out handle/brake, but it's so exaggerated in the reviews, as with any minor flaw a ford car has.

The guys at Chevy said that this car was made specifically to compete with the Boss 302 not the gt and from the magazines I've read it doesn't do to good of a job at that. Run the gt against the SS the one it's meant to run against and it's a different story.

What a stupid comparo. This should be a 1LE against a B302 or a B302LS.

Did you watch the video? They claimed they tried and Ford would not give them a Boss 302 so they had no choice to go against the GT w/track pack.

IMO they should have gave the track pack GT some better tires for sure. I feel like with better tires it would have put up a much better fight. I like the 1LE alot. It's a good looking car and for what it is (handling package) I think Chevy did a good job.

The Camaro 1LE should definitely be compared against a BOSS 302 or a BOSS 302 Laguna Seca instead of a GT, but it is what it is. The Camaro 1LE versus a GT isn't a fair comparison, in any aspect of performance, plain and simple!

this is really nothing new. mustangs have been under damped forever.

id be interested to see some actual proof of ford denying them a boss. the boss has a faster lap time at WS anyway.

Randy Posbt always puts things very well. the bearded moron was annoying.

Ill never understand how they can call it a track pack if there isn't any suspension upgrades.

The brakes, 'ok' but it's more of a shitty drag pack. Different wheels maybe a summer only tire. Whoopdie do. Still a mushy mustang. Track packs should get boss shocks/springs or at least fr500c junk if it still exists.

Stang got its shit pushed in but it really shouldn't have been in that fight. I got into the argument with some very pro GM friends. The track pack cars are bogus and should only be really up against a stock SS.

What the hell, why pile on $9k in premium interior luxury options to a GT then compare it to a 1LE in just a performance arena.

Boss vs. 1LE, should be a good one! It would be interesting, the Boss, while not as sophisticated, handles fairly well and is WAY faster. The 1LE just has boat loads of grip with it's weight, balance and wide tires.

They said in the mag ford wouldn't give them one so they used the gt.

Bullshit, lying sacks....

I love how they can't get a Boss 302 or 302LS but they have ZERO problems getting one when it's compared to a ZL-1....Convenient :nono::bored::nonono::rollseyes

it actually does have quite a few upgrades. it just needs Konis and it could probably get 1.5 second back.

the BOSS 302 exists(ed) for a reason. the 1LE was aimed at the boss. the SS the GT and the ZL1 the GT500. its pretty simple.

"Hey guys, lets put together a head-2-head video for the new 1LE package on the Camaro! Oh, we can't get a Boss 302 to do a fair comparison?..."

At that point they should have aborted this video and started a head-2-head with two different cars. I am not sure who orchestrates the logistics for these features, but you would think that they'd confirm they had the proper cars before insisting on filming.

As I recall, this isn't the first video to have a non-applicable comparison, but they like to run that "sticker price is close" line as justification.

I'm not saying the "more fair" comparison was the GT w/track pack vs the ZL1, I believe it would have been more fair with a Boss. All I was saying was, THEIR reason why they didn't. I'm betting the video was not watched before that comment was made lol
