We'll boys, it's getting real. Picked up a gen 2 short block. I don't plan on installing it until next year but I couldn't pass on the price. Cant wait to get this in there with the cams and pulley the lil 2.3 down.

1975 out the door. I do owe them a core but no rush on that. Going to give them my buddies high mileage block and give him mine.Very nice!
If you don't mind me asking, what kind of deal did you find?

It is a worthwhile upgrade but there are sacrifices. There will be more NVH but its not much more than stock. The real question is how much power are you making and what are your goals with the car? If your running all stock suspension I would recommend to upgrade the lower control arms first. Post up your set up and goals and I can better assist. Feel free to post in here or shoot me a message. Is it worth a adjustable UCA upgrade on a mustang with still stock & 2 piece shaft? Been following your thread and see it’s worked well for you but was curious on a little more Analysts for a noob (me) whose wanting to learn thanks

Great work Riddick! What are you plans for the old short block?
Agreed! Good work. Lots of work. Sheesh! I look forward to seeing the end result.

Yeah, we will put it on the engine and place it on the k member outside of the car. We have a home made pallet on casters that supports it all. Once all back together place it under the car and lower car on the drivetrain. You're gonna mate transmission to engine then drop in together? We just did stall so let me know if you have any questions on transmission install.
