4.0L naturally aspirated flat six producing 500bhp, 8800 rpm redline, PDK trans, slightly lighter than a 991 GT3! Also about 50k more, starts around $176k USD. Possible manual transmission to arrive later!

This is my dream car.
It ran the ring in 7 mins 20 secs.
Can get A/C and radio delete from factory.
Door handles are straps like previous gens.
I believe 918 owners get first dibs due to Porsche VIP program they started, they had first shot at GT4's also.
Wonder how many they will build.

Wow, surprised this isnt closer to Viper ACR times. I hope the next ACR gets closer to 7 flat!

No price for us Canadians yet but safe to assume it will be around the $200k mark :(

"The 911 GT3 RS can be ordered now, and it will launch in the U.S. in early July of 2015. In the United States, the MSRP is $175,900, not including a $995 destination charge."

And even if you can afford it will they agree to sell you one?

I've heard that are going to be minimum standards to get one.

Porsche will actually be measuring you penis to make sure you are man enough.

Slick car. IMO, I would still prefer the raw experience of the 911 GT3 RS 4.0. 7:20 is a strong number, but still around 8 seconds behind the ACR and 12 seconds behind the NISMO. I guess I expected it to be quicker. Maybe a Twin Turbo GT2 is on the way.

Porsche ring times seem to be much more realistic than other manufacturers, specifically Nissan that you quoted.

That is a sweet Porsche however I still dont like the look of the gaudy interior ramp from the seats to the dash. Because of this I would still purchase the 997 GT3RS or 997GT2RS first.
